After the mayor had given Elaina the important details to note for the upcoming festival, Elaina started to prepare. The crops are already in place so the next thing that Elaina has to do is to get a cart. A carriage would be ideal but because it is expensive, she decided it isn't worth it. So, instead of getting a carriage, a cart to place the vegetables in is the only thing she can have. Although Elaina still possesses bags that can carry tons of stuff, Elaina doesn't want to rely on that and make her look pretty wealthy as those bags are only affordable for the rich. She will still use them to get more supplies inside but put most of them in the cart.
As usual, Jacob took the job. Compared to the chicken coop, Elaina only needed to wait for a day to get the finished product. Jacob builds a new cart that is specifically done for the sake of Elaina and that will allow her or anyone to gain ease in pulling it while carrying heavy baggage put inside the cart. It can also be attached to an animal if the owner has one. It cost 600 gold so it was a bit expensive for Elaina's budget but it was worth it for the long run, especially in the future once she expands her crops further into her land than the area she was currently using at the moment.
Jacob's work is enough for Elaina to praise the young man's ability to make a product that would be specifically ordered by the customer and if not for her limited budget, Elaina would surely be giving him more than what he was asking for.
Now, for the crops, thanks to the fertilizer that she got from the Harvest Goddess, the crops are growing nicely and are slowly getting ready to mature. It won't take too long for Elaina to start harvesting them soon. However, after learning that she needed a lot of products with higher quality than usual, Elaina was stumped for a bit. She sat on the nearby tree near the stream where she could relax while also being able to observe the crops growing on the field. Perhaps she will add a bench underneath the tree as that place was indeed a good place to relax after hard work done on the field.
She has plenty of crops that she will be using for the bazaar that can be harvested and used. Radish, Parsnip, Cabbages, Cucumbers, Potato, and a possibility of strawberries as well. But since Quality and quantity are necessary to win the masses and quality to win both the judges and the people, she needed more than just she had. However, she will need a lot of the crops that she has.
"Can I still win this one? Knowing the secrets of winning, there is a chance I will not win anything at all. And the fact that many farms are competing, I am going to have a hard time later on. What should I do?"
As Elaina mulled on what she should do, the water on the stream suddenly lit up and the Harvest Goddess appeared, floating on a bed that looked like lotus leaves while currently eating some food that resembled rice balls.
"I can hear your mulling right on my humble abode, Miss Farmer. It seems you are in a bind on what to do to increase the yield of your crops?" she asked as she continued to eat some of the food that was currently on her plate.
"You heard me?" Elaina was a bit surprised.
"Well, of course. Since you are here doing the mulling while I am currently relaxing at my place, of course, I will hear them. I am not deaf."
She then glances at the fields and the plants currently growing.
"You said you needed more harvests to be used for this upcoming festival of some sort, yes?"
"Yeah. But I have to grow more crops to accommodate the quantity I need for later."
"Hmm, I can help you with that. That problem is nothing to me."
"Eh? You are gonna help me?" Elaina was a bit shocked.
"Why not? Since you keep your daily offerings to me without stopping at all, my abilities have grown more exponentially than I ever was before. I am not that weak compared to before which is why I got access to some of my lost abilities after gaining more power from your offerings. And due to that, I think it is fair enough that I grant you access to this blessing right off the bat and let you experience the greatness of its effects?"
"Won't you get scolded by your superior?" Elaina asked.
"Superior? Oh, you mean Boss? Ah, don't worry. This is within my capabilities and responsibilities. Since I just recently gained back this new blessing power of mine, might as well let you know about it and let you experience it. And this ability would surely help you out tremendously."
"Is it the same as the quick growth power you did last time?" Elaina asked.
"Sort of. But that one is a basic blessing I can give and I can only use that once a month for you. You already used it up this month so I can't grant you that one. And I can't also offer you another blessing for this month other than that but because you are the only one who has given me power so far to carry out my duties, I am going to be generous to give you one free try on this new blessing of mine. But once I use this blessing now, I will only be able to cast it again next month and it will not be possible to cast it if I already used the other blessing. So, what do you say? You wanna get the experience of this new blessing?" the Harvest Goddess grinned.
"Since you say that this process is free, then might as well see what this is. I will accept this blessing. You can cast it right now then," Elaina stood up from where she was sitting and looked at the fields.
"Good. I will be casting this blessing immediately. The results will not be immediately seen but you will only realize the blessing has taken effect once you begin to harvest the crops you currently planted on the soil right now. Give me a minute and let me cast it out for you."
It seems whatever blessing the Harvest Goddess has casted on the field, it will become a beneficial blessing for Elaina in the end.
