A few years after I reincarnated in this world, I began experiementing on Monsters using my Evolution Magic. There were hardly any regular animals on the island, barring a few birds here and there, insects and the occasional rodent.
Other than that, it was all Monsters. Through my experiments, I discovered that I could telepathically communicate with the Monsters I evolve, and I can even make them physically incapable of defying me.
Any real signs towards defiance would immediately result in their evolution going berserk and out of control, mutating their bodies rapidly until they're nothing but a shapeless pile of flesh, killing them quite painfully.
