"So soon? I was thinking you and I could have a father and son talk." Mr Malcolm's brows furrowed.
"We could always do that some other day, sir." Richmond maintained his official business-like tone. He was in a hurry to leave before his parents and the Fordes found their way to Malcolms.
"Okay, my boy." Mr Malcolm patted Richmond fondly on the shoulder before a fellow business partner came and whisked him away.
"Can't you stay a little bit longer and bond with the family." Mrs Malcolm urged. "I'm sure whatever business you attending, can wait. It's my birthday after all and it's my wish for you to stay."
"I'm afraid, it can't, Ma. But I promise to make it up to you some other day." Richmond replied firmly. "Happy birthday once more and enjoy the rest of your day." Richmond pecked her on either side of the cheek like a true gentleman.
"You owe me." Mrs Malcolm pinched him playfully on the cheek before releasing him.
