"Frivolous matters!" Jasmine muttered Richmond's last words to herself. She sat frozen on the bed as if someone had upended a bucket of bone-chilling water on her head. Her widened pupils trailed him as he entered the bathroom and slammed the door shot.
"Richie!" She whispered, silent tears streaming down her face. She was supposed to be the vexed one but it seemed the table had turned around leaving her gasping for air.
As if threatening to break up with her wasn't bad enough, Jasmine watched in shock as Richmond totally ignored her for the first time in their relationship. It felt as though she was dealing with a whole new individual.
"Where did I go wrong?" She lamented, hugging herself dejectedly. "I can't afford to lose Richmond. I just can't. Not after all I went through to get him to accept me. I have to make things right."
