Lola turned around to face the heartless woman she had called her mother-in-law for the past five years. She was beyond shocked to see her holding a red shopping basket filled with assorted grocery items. while looking like a glorified nanny who had barely rested for a month.

"Rosemary!" Lola's sparkling eyes brimmed with excitement and mockery. She assessed her once reverenced mother-in-law condescendingly from head to toe, unaffected by her earliest statement. "It's good to see. You look...well."

Rosemary's grip on her shopping basket tightened as she scowled at Lola, wishing they were all alone so that she could give her a dirty slap for her utterances.

"You insufferable bastard of a nobody. How dare you call me by my first name. Don't you have regard for the elderly? Do I look like your age mate?"
