"What!"
Both Jamal and Maureen gaped at Lola in disbelief. It was as though everything they'd been saying to her was falling on deaf ears.
"Lola, you know bringing Brian down here will only amount to him hurting you the more right?" Jamal stated in an attempt to dissuade Lola.
"I don't care," Lola said firmly. "I just want to see him. He is still my husband. I want to talk some sense into him. I can't just give up totally on my marriage of five years without giving it a second chance. I can't give up without putting up a fight to save it first. I may have pushed Brian out with my actions and I need to win his heart back. Please."
"Hmmm...." Maureen sighed. She wanted to tell Lola that Brian's mind was already made up, especially now that he was expecting a child with Chelsea. But then, she was worried about the effect it would have on Lola.
