"It's Grandpa now that we are alone." The king corrected in a softened tone.
A warm smile caressed Lola's cheeks.
"Thank you, Grandpa, for believing in my counsel and defending me in the presence of your royal council members. I know most of them are displeased by my actions and persistence. But I want to assure you that I would always put our family and the kingdom as my first priority."
The old King's wrinkled face brightened as though Lola's words were the first ray of sunshine, giving warmth and hope of a beautiful day ahead.
"Do not forget yourself." King Xavier eyed her baby bump. "You must also put your health and pregnancy first. There cannot be any happiness or success without good health."
