Shortly after leaving the King's quarters, amid pleasant greetings from palace servants and guards, Lola decided to stop by the family dining room first before visiting the dungeon. Not that she was hungry. She had already had her breakfast in bed this morning. She was just eager to register her presence after listening to a lot of sickening rumours about herself from Bushra, her handmaid.
As Lola approached the dining room door, she whispered to Ezra.
"Wait out here. I won't be long."
Ezra hesitated before replying, "Yes your highness."
When the dining room door was thrown open and Lola's presence was announced, all heads on the dining table turned in her direction.
Instantly, silence fell in the room. The clinking sounds of different cutlery on dishware seized as Lola walked gracefully towards her family.
Aside from the king, queen and Prince Beshar, Lola observed that everyone else was present.
