As they silently strolled out of the royal suite, arms in arms, with four heavily armed palace guards walking behind them, Lola whispered into Richmond's right ear.
"I've really missed you too."
Richmond chuckled at Lola's verbal reply to all his text messages for both the previous night and this morning. He fondly stroked her arm tenderly, wishing they were alone. He hoped to steal a kiss from her but found it impossible with the many pairs of eyes watching.
"Do you feel much better?" Richmond asked after a few minutes of just enjoying each other's warmth and company.
"A little. I'm still very apprehensive about the announcement, meeting my extended family members and my responsibilities as a princess and the firstborn grandchild." Lola confessed, tightening her hold around Richmond's arm. "I'm afraid of making mistakes."
