After Richmond's family members left, Jasmine turned to her bitterly enraged parents, and started pleading with them to allow her to marry the man of her dreams.
"But you said it yourself. You both started officially dating less than one week ago. How are you sure that he truly loves you?" Mrs Malcom expressed her fears, while her husband took Richmond aside and spoke at length with him.
"I know he does Mum and I'm willing to leap fate with him. All I want is you and Dad's blessing. Please..." Jasmine was about to go on her knees but her mum stopped her and asked her to sit down.
"If you're sure of what you are doing, then your dad and I won't stand in your way." Mrs Malcolm said in a resigned voice, seeing how determined and passionate her daughter was.
"Thank, you mummy!" Jasmine threw her arms around her mother's neck, embracing her dearly and covering her face with kisses.
