According to Mr Rogers, Ian's lawyer left the courthouse in a fit of rage, swearing and cursing the judge for his inhumane decision.
Unwilling to accept defeat or watch Ian go to jail, he took the case to a higher court requesting for an appeal and fine settlement. He was given the full backing of the Forde family to win the case.
The Forde family weren't about to watch their precious son go to jail for any reason. They believed that he had gone through enough trauma to reprogram his memory. So, they made all the necessary calls and pulled all the necessary strings for the case to be dropped and settled out of court.
Unfortunately for the family, they were indirectly dealing with Richmond Gibson, who by all means wanted justice to prevail.
Also, the new judge became fascinated with the case and decided to dig in further and see what he would unearth. He requested for the two lawyers involved to see him and present their cases.
