A few minutes earlier, Rosemary was in the bedroom with her crying daughter, consoling and admonishing her. She tried convincing her that serving Chelsea was temporal, promising that once the latter gave birth, she would be placed in the corner of a dutiful and obedient wife.
Rosemary was still talking to her adamant daughter when she was distracted by the noisy slamming of a door.
"Sweet heavens! Does your brother want to break down the door?" Rosemary angrily stood up from the bed and left behind her sulking daughter to investigate the reason for the loud noise.
However, when she entered the living room expecting to confront her son, Brian was nowhere to be found. Also, something felt off about the room.
The initial well-ventilated and illuminated room was looking a bit darker due to the closed window curtains.
As if that wasn't weird enough, Rosemary found Melvin crouching by the side of the window peeking at God knows what.
