Later in the afternoon, Jacob asked permission from Henifer to go out for a few hours. When she happily complied to his request, he left the house immediately and drove off to find Abigail.
He arrived at the address Abigail gave him. The purpose of his visit being to clear out the misunderstanding between them. Their conversation was cut short in their previous encounter in his room and he wanted to air out everything before school starts.
Jacob walked up to the front porch with one hand in his pocket and the other holding his phone. 'Im only here to talk to her,' he persuaded himself, denying any truth in him choosing to visit her out of the blue as he missed her.
His fingers folded halfway, he pressed them against the surface of the door and knocked gently. Jacob knocked several times but received no response.
