The newly wedded bride woke up to the smell of sizzling bacon. She couldn't stop smiling, last night had been nothing short of amazing.
She took a quick shower and raced down the stairs. Her aura was absolutely radiant. Her feet maneuvered around the huge mansion to the kitchen.
"Could you be any more perfect?" She asked as she devoured the sight of Sebastian working in the kitchen.
She licked her lips and watched the muscles in his bare back flex as he turned the bacon.
Donned only in perfect fitting knee-high shorts, Sebastian looked completely at ease in the kitchen.
"Two sugars, right?" He asked, when he turned around to hand her a cup of green tea.
Aryanna could see from the color of the tea that he'd added cream to it. She was beyond touched that he remembered the way she likes her tea.
"I hope you don't mind that I borrowed one of your shirts," she said, pointing at the long blue shirt she was wearing.
"Looks better on you, wife," Sebastian complimented. "I'll get the toast and then we can have breakfast. Let's enjoy this beautiful morning."
The sun was glistening through the window panes and the air was clear and clean.
Aryanna set the table by the dining room and they sat down to eat. They ate in companionable silence, Aryanna kept stealing glances at him as they dined together.
When Sebastian ate the last slice of his bacon Henifer came down for breakfast. The sweet aroma drawing her straight to the dining room.
Henifer picked up a bacon from Aryanna's plate and tasted it. Her taste buds were blown away by the scrumptious feeling hit all the corners of her mouth.
"This tastes as good as you look, dear. I'm guessing you slept well," she said.
"Yes, really well," Aryanna innocently answered.
Sebastian choked on the food in his mouth. "Ive got you," Henifer poured Sebastian a glass of water and handed it to him. Sebastian downed the water slowly to calm his nerves.
His wife was older than him but her innocence put her behind him by a mile.
"Yeah, she slept like a baby after taking a warm bubble bath," Sebastian explained to Henifer on Aryanna's behalf.
Henifer raised her eyebrows at him for the soppy explanation. She could see the glow on Aryanna's face and that didn't come from shower gel or shampoo.
"I should also make a habit of taking of taking warm baths before bed to glow like she does, right?"
"Eating also helps," Sebastian dishes out a plate of toasted bread and bacon for him mother and changed the topic. "I was planning on visiting Kincade mansion to find out about Elisa's condition."
Aryanna paused and listened in on the conversation. The strange relationship Elisa and Sebastian shared puzzled her mind for a long time. She wanted to ask Sebastian about it but was afraid he might get angry with her.
Since he brought up the topic by himself, she decided to listen and gather as much as she could about it. Aryanna looked up at Henifer to see her reaction. The two seemed to share feelings of recentment and hatred towards the Kincades.
"I was thinking of going over there too. I inquired from Richard what the situation was but he didn't give me an answer which left me worried," Henifer reported.
Aryanna was surprised by their affection for Elisa. The two got tense and hateful at the mere mention of the name Kincade but the loathing feeling didn't seem to extend to Elisa. Even though Aryanna felt it should, the girl nearly shot her dead at the gala.
"Jasmine is the one taking care of Elisa," Sebastian brought to Henifer's attention. "I think we need to approach her if we are to learn more about what happened to Elisa," he added.
Sebastian headed to the kitchen and quickly brewed orange flavoured latte for his mother.
"Thank you," Henifer received the cup of hot freshly homemade latte and took a sip.
"I'll ask Faber to look into Jasmine and find the best way to appeal to her about Elisa's issue," he proposed the plan he had in mind.
Silence enveloped the dining table. Sebastian was deep in thought, worried about his sister's health. He hadn't seen Elisa in over sixteen years, the last he saw her was when his parents divorce was finalized.
"Can I come with you when you visit her?" Aryanna asked, clearing her plate of the finger licking breakfast her husband prepared for her.
"I don't think that's a good idea," Sebastian said, the last Elisa and Aryanna saw at the gala, Elisa nearly blew Aryanna's brains out with a loaded gun. He didn't want to risk provoking Elisa into hurting Aryanna by taking her along. "She almost hurt you last night. Let's give her time before you meet her, okay," he softly added.
"I think that's a great idea. We don't know what wrong with her or what her triggers are. Better to be safe than sorry," Henifer added on Sebastian's point.
"I understand," Aryanna let out. The maids came over and cleared the table of used dishes.
"I have somewhere I need to be urgently," Henifer set her empty cup down and got up. "Can you look after Jalana for me, Arya?" She asked, picking her handbag and getting ready to leave.
"Sure, I'll happily take care of her."
"Thank you, sweetie," she pecked Aryanna and Sebastian's cheek. She bid them goodbyes and exited the mansion.
Aryanna pressed her lips together to surpress the big smile threatening to stretch from ear to ear. Her matrimonial family was warm and welcoming that it overwhelmed her heart with joy.
She silently merried at the first task entrusted to her by her mother-in-law. Aryanna took out her phone and googled fun indoor activities sixteen year olds liked to do. She vowed to do the best job at taking care of Jalana.
Sebastian snuck up behind her, he surpressed a laugh as he took note of the topic for her search. "Just pick a good romcom and have unlimited snacks and you're good to go with Jalana," He gave her advice.
"Teenagers aren't that simple," Aryanna argued.
"My sister is. She likes romantic movies especially ones with gay couples in it, she loves those," Sebastian informed her. "I can't wait to see the two of become close. You'll get along great," he added. Aryanna blushed at his confidence in her.
