Lily sat in the back of the classroom, trying to ignore the giggles and whispers coming from the group of girls sitting in front of her. She knew they were talking about her, but she didn't know why.
Lily tried to ignore them, but it was getting harder and harder. She didn't want to go to school anymore. She didn't want to face them.
One day Lily was walking home from school when she felt a sudden push from behind. She stumbled and almost fell to the ground, but managed to regain her balance just in time. She turned around to see Sarah, the leader of the mean girls at her school, standing behind her with a smirk on her face.
"What's your problem?" Lily asked, trying to keep her voice steady.
"My problem? You're my problem," Sarah replied, taking a step closer to Lily. "You're always so quiet and shy, it's like you don't even exist. Well, I'm going to make sure everyone knows who you are."
Sarah pushed Lily again, harder this time, causing her to stumble backwards. Lily's heart was racing and she could feel tears welling up in her eyes. She knew she couldn't let Sarah get the best of her.
