Brandishing the radiant red spear in his grasp, a broad grin stretched across Jun's face, illuminated by the pulsating energy emanating from the weapon.
"This is incredible!" he exclaimed, his voice brimming with excitement.
With this newfound power, Jun's capabilities had skyrocketed, surpassing anything he had previously imagined. The extent of his newfound strength was beyond measure, spanning across numerous realms with unprecedented prowess.
Holding out the spear in front of him, Jun imagined the spear extending faster than the speed of sound for only a short distance. Not even a millisecond later, it had expanded 1 meter longer that not even a gold core cultivator could notice in time to react.
"I can already imagine myself using this move, just point at the enemy from far away making them confused and them BAM" Jun thought.
Turning his head to look at Yinlign's progress, Jun saw her still on the same level as before but was nearing the next level thanks to his guidance.
"It will only get harder and harder so it will probably take her the entire two days to reach the 100th level"
Seeing this, Jun entered the array again and sat back down. "Next step would be to compress my energy in my dantian from red to orange"
Closing his eyes, Jun focused on compressing his energy faster and more efficiently to consume less time but still have quality work.
As Jun and Yinling focused on their tasks, oblivious to the brewing turmoil across the Eternal Continent, a strange and significant event unfolded in the skies above.
Within a grand, ominous hall suspended high above the clouds, hundreds of venerable elders, each possessing the power to establish their own 9 to 10-star cities, gathered in heated debate.
Amidst the clamor, a resounding voice echoed through the hall. "How dare you challenge what I know!" bellowed an elderly man, his visage weathered by age yet brimming with authority.
"You old thing! Your knowledge here means nothing!" Roared a man who looked to be in his twenties but was half the age of the old man.
At the forefront of the chamber, ten imposing seats overlooked the tumultuous assembly, occupied by figures who observed the chaos below with stoic detachment.
Among them, frustration etched across their features, the ten Sky Guardians attempted in vain to restore order. Though bestowed with the title, only the top four had truly solidified their authority.
Suddenly, a strong yet composed voice cut through the uproar.
"Please everyone, let's restrain from insulting each other and actually discuss" Spoke a scholarly-looking man with blood-red eyes.
Above even the guardians were the 4 protectors. On one of the four thrones stood a man with wavy long white hair and red eyes, this man is known as one of the 4 protectors of Sky Palace, Liang Feng.
The elders bellow hearing one of the 4 protectors speak instantly shut up, although Liang Feng is known for being gentle and forgiving, that doesn't mean the other protectors are.
"The next one to deviate from discussing to insulting will be stripped of their dignity" Spoke a beautiful Golden-haired woman named Xiulan Sheng.
The elders who were previously already scared into freezing still by Liang Feng instantly bowed, apologizing profusely to the golden-haired woman. Who could blame them? That woman although beautiful is as crazy as they come.
No one dared to speak amongst the elders below, causing the entire hall to fall a silence.
"Alright alright... let's not fight over who's smarter," Came a deep voice from a throne above even the 4 protectors "And you" The deep voice focused on the beautiful blonde protector "try not to intimidate our fellow brethren."
"But patriarch, they were misbehaving" Spoke aggrievedly the beautiful blonde woman in a playful tone.
The deep voice sighed in frustration knowing how this woman was.
Hearing this, everyone turned their attention in admiration after hearing the patriarch's voice. Unlike the novels Jun has read where every single person is too afraid to look their leader in the eye, the patriarch of Sky Palace is a very easygoing man whom anyone can get along with.
His accomplishments, combined with his amiable demeanor, had earned him the admiration of all. They regarded him not just as a fellow cultivator, but as a trusted friend, while still affording him the respect his status demanded.
"I called this meeting today not to play around so I would appreciate it if you paid attention" The patriarch's voice resonated through the hall, his gaze sweeping across the gathered elders with an unwavering intensity.
As the room fell into an expectant hush, he continued, "Recent reports have reached us of a potent yet peculiar energy pulse that traversed the length of the Eternal Continent. The phenomenon has been observed from distant domains, even reaching our nearest neighbors."
A weighted silence hung in the air, pregnant with anticipation. Then, breaking the stillness, one of the elders found his voice. "Patriarch, what precisely was the nature of this pulse?" he inquired, his tone tinged with urgency.
"Not much is known about this strange pulse, thankfully no one was hurt but honestly, whether it's a good sign or a bad one remains uncertain," the patriarch confessed, his voice tinged with apprehension.
A somber hush fell over the assembly, the weight of uncertainty palpable in the air.
"Has the Heavens Eternal Alliance addressed whether they intend to proceed with the Silent Battlefield games?" inquired another elder.
The patriarch reclined on his throne with a heavy sigh.
"They've remained silent on the matter, which implies they're pressing forward regardless."
