Chapter 67 - Heart Scar

Hearing his question somehow made Eleanor's heart clench. She didn't think much when she said that, but Malacai seemed to take it very seriously.

She then realizes the question she asked probably hurt him. This makes her feel guilty and sad.

She stood up from her seat, then hugged Malacai and started combing his hair.

"Of course, I just worry about my only daughter. Riri has had a hard life; I don't want her to suffer anymore."

"I know you also have a bad past. I hope both of you can be happy together."

"I will root for both of your happiness. If you have anything, just tell Mom. Mom will do her best to help."

Malacai felt a strange sensation again at her words, and he suddenly remembered what had happened before with Vivian.

"Mom, would you burn the world or go to hell for me? I know you would do it for Nerissa."

Malacai's question made Eleanor feel a deep, silent pain in his heart.
