Mara was caught off guard, her cheeks flushing red as she tried her best to avoid eye contact.
Her heart beat like crazy, her body heating up. Mara felt her heart melt with Malacai's confession.
"I… I…" Mara replied, stuttering.
Seeing her like that made Malacai let out a gentle smile. It's a side of Mara that only existed for him to see.
"No need to answer; I know your feelings for me," Malacai said.
He chose to say those words now to lift Mara's mood. And this was not a lie.
Malacai then picked up a fork with grilled sausage and fed it to her rosy lips. Their affection made some of the employees turn their gaze toward them.
"Hubby, everyone is watching."
"Let them watch; why does that bother you? I could make them all leave," Malacai replied with a chuckle, continuing to feed her.
He felt satisfied since it took Mara's mind off the problem.
