Chapter 289 - Eina

"You think I'm an easy target?" Lilith mumbled as her palm opened, and a sword similar to the one Aurelia wielded appeared. 

She wanted to fly forward, but Alaric's voice reverberated in her mind.

"Patience, Lilith. They're doing this on purpose to bait you. 

He has another apostle, and who knows what he has cooked up. Don't forget what happened to Kale."

Lilith sighed. She still remembered Kale's appearance from that time.

Three-on-one, Kale ambushed the Raven Claw apostle, but they ended up wounded instead. Even though the three didn't actively cooperate due to mistrust, that didn't make them weak.

At first, they dominated the fight, but a sudden burst of attacks caught them off guard. After they recovered, the golden-haired woman was nowhere to be seen.

Alaric was right; Ken did want to bait her forward, but since she hadn't moved, he had no choice but to bring the fight to her.
