Chapter 129 - Don't Judge Me

The man then stood up. 

"All the bills for Caeli have been taken care of; you can check with the hospital for it." He then left the bar.

Alec looked at the man's back, speechless, not knowing what to say.

He then took out the check, looked at it once more, and went to the bank. Seeing the money entering his balance, Alec's gaze turned to a daze.

He went to a barber and got a clean shave. After tidying up, Alec went to the hospital.

He confirmed that Caeli's bill had already been paid, which made him feel both relieved and burdened because that meant the recording was true. 

He walked to the door, peeking from the gap, seeing Caeli lying on the bed, gazing into the window. He wanted to push the door open and greet her, but he felt too ashamed to do it.

Alec hid the truth from her, and Caeli still thinks he is the one paying the bill when, in reality, more than 80% is paid by Vivian.
