Chapter 2 - Airborn-414

I had absolutely no idea what to do, witnessing my own friend falling from the sky, in fear, I immediately pressed the button on my watch for the Airborn-V414.

It immediately came to Leo's rescue, as I prepared a safe landing pad.

Until the unexpected happened and a second wave hit the earth, turning the Airborn-V414 into rust.

"Damn it! The V414 wasn't meant for combat or any sort of attack!!!"

I screamed at the top of my lungs.

So, I decided to take it in my own hands and put on my home-made jetpack.

I flew into the air, praying there wouldn't be another blast, because if so, we would both crash and die, one mistake would be the end of us both, which is why I couldn't make a mistake.

I zoomed down as fast as I could, and Leo was slowly starting to gain consciousness, but, to my horror, another blast, was taking place, I couldn't do anything, until, Leo jumped out of my hands, falling down, trying his best to press the defensive shield button on the counter.

He managed to do it, he managed to save us, but then a terrible though crossed my mind... Who was going to save Leo?! His body could not survive the hit from the ground after what happened, and my jetpack wasn't fast enough to stop the impact. Neither did my jetpack have enough fuel to let me land safely.

I closed my eyes, but soon felt a warm touch, to warm, burning hot even… It was the Airborn-414! But how was it alive?

The explosion hit it. It seemed like it was overheating, but used its last energy to save me and Leo. Once it landed it pushed us away from it, and exploded. And my dad came rushing into my base.

"Doe! Leo! What are you two both doing here at this time?!" He screamed. "Dad I-" I tried to explain.

But he wouldn't buy it. I thought he was going to roar his guts out, until I saw his fury turn into fear. "D- Did you see anything?"

He asked frozen in shock, as if he had realized something. "No-" I tried to start until Leo looked at me. "Yes, we did Sir Masuta, we saw explosions, and we want you to tell us what's going on."

Leo said. I was shocked, I had never seen Leo's face so angry and serious, and it seemed like my dad hadn't either, as he grumbled and walked out of the room. I stared it Leo in confusion, and he stared back.

"We need to find out what's going on to earth, but how?" Leo suggested. "I know, we're going to out there and find out ourselves." I said, as I had finally gotten serious too. "Alright Doe, let's pack up." Leo said.

I knew he was serious, but in my mind, I had one thought lingering: "He's just the same Leo I've always known." And I kept that thought close to my heart, as we got to packing. Little did I know this single decision would be the worst one I had ever made. And that it would take me down a road, of sorrow, and horror.

Welcome, to "Stuck!"
