"Lucian." Seraphina's sudden weak voice came from her barely audible voice.
An ear piercing scream resounded through the whole building as Lucian's hand tightened around Seraphina's neck. A wave of a dark aura suddenly pushed past everyone.
The lights in the whole house went off and everyone seemed to be glued to their spot. "Lucian do not hurt her." Esmeralda's voice came after the scream stopped.
The only thing Seraphina could see in the darkness was his red eyes. Although she tried her best to stay awake and not fall unconscious from the tight grip that seemed to be drawing life out of her, she held his arm, tightly. "It's… me Lucian." She said, her voice above a whisper. "Angel…"
As she whispered her nickname, his grip slowly loosened. As his grip loosened, someone pushed her straight out of his hands, making her fall to the ground. The light suddenly came back on and everyone who was at the table appeared right there, trying to hold Lucian's aura back from hitting Seraphina.
"Lucian." She called but before he could look at her Gabriel already carried her out of the scene. "What… what are they doing to him?" She asked, fighting hard to stay conscious as he settled her in her room.
"If his raw aura hits you, you might become seriously injured. A royal blood, when having the highest level of blood thirst can kill a human with just their raw aura." Gabriel said before stepping out of her room.
Although he still wondered how on earth she was able to withstand his aura when he let it escape the cage he was camping it in so it wouldn't hurt anyone.
They had all left his front and he just stood there like he was in a trance. "You can all leave. Where's her highness?" Gabriel asked as he saw Naomi tending to Esmeralda who had passed out. "Is she fine?"
"No she's not." Naomi replied as Cullen lifted her his arms taking her to her room. "She let up her shield around Seraphina when his aura flared so his aura connected directly with her normal body. Lucian is not in a great state either. I think she did something to wake him from his condition. I'll go check up on Seraphina."
Gabriel walked over to Lucian who was staring right at him. "Where's Seraphina?" Lucian asked as he tried to walk past Gabriel but Gabriel stopped him, pushing him back into the room.
"You can't leave without having a decent amount of blood. Your inner vampire needs blood. A lot of it." Gabriel said and in a flash of a second, they appeared in a dark underground room where a young lady was tied up, her hands and her legs bound.
"Where am I?" Her voice came in a low whisper. "I promise, I won't do it again."
"I can't have human blood, Gabriel. I need the already processed blood." Lucian said but Gabriel refused to let him go.
"You need blood directly from the source. She's part of those we took from Kyle's men. She's not from the clan." He said, knowing well Lucian won't drink blood from any innocent human but these were part of the enemies women where they got extra blood from after winning a battle.
"Let her give it to me willingly." Lucian said and Gabriel cut her loose immediately and as she saw Lucian, she fell at his feet.
"Please, you majesty, I know nothing. Please, just let me leave." She pleaded with tears rolling down her cheeks. "I just want to be free, I don't mind giving you my blood now…"
"She's trying to be a mole." Lucian growled angrily and in a blink of an eye, sank his fangs into her skin. A gasp escaped her lips as she felt the force he used in drinking her blood. "Die." He said in her head and as he pulled his fangs away, she fell on the ground, unconscious.
"You majesty, you just killed her." Gabriel pointed out.
Lucian didn't give him any explanation and just left his front, heading straight towards Seraphina's room but the guards told him Naomi asked him to stay out. "Esmeralda was hurt too." Gabriel said and Lucian looked back at him with a shocked expression.
"Emerald." He whispered as he rushed back to Esmeralda's room. She was laying on the bed with her face pale and her body cold. "What happened to her?"
"Your aura happened to her." Cullen said and Lucian slowly let go of Esmeralda's hand. A wave of guilt washed over him as the thought of the two women he cared for both in danger because of him. Because he was unable to control his hunger.
"Lucian." Gabriel called but all he was hearing was from a very far distance as his eyes turned dark. "It's not your fault."
"It's all my fault."
