Chapter 10 - Realization in Coloria

Note: this may have reader discretion advise sooner or later in such chapters of maturity or tone shift, but besides the writing errors enjoy!!

Tim: (Speaking to Ptsi) You know, Ptsi, sometimes I wonder if there's more to this world than we can see. I just want to find out the truth about what happened to Dorothy.

Ptsi: (Squawking) Truth... truth...

Tim's thoughts about Dorothy's disappearance weigh heavily on his mind as he contemplates the mysteries surrounding that day.

The next morning, Nova and Tim are roused from their sleep by their loyal familiars.

Nova: (Rubbing his eyes) Ah, it's morning already? Guess it's picnic day, Fernir.

Fernir nods and wags his tail excitedly, while Ptsi hovers around Tim, making sure he's awake.

Tim: (Yawning) Alright, Ptsi, thanks for the wake-up call. Let's get ready for that picnic!

The day ahead promises new adventures and maybe even some answers to the questions that have been haunting Tim.

Then the boys feed their familiar some meals as a reward before de-summoning them with a flick of their finger (Nova is always quick since he has a strong mana pool and gauge compared to Tim who is weaker yet despite magicless uses a ring to de-summon Ptsi), then transition of them having a picnic on the fields near the academy (with luscious forest area like a park) with Snow White and Rose Red (their apprentices/Juniors)

Nova: (Opening the picnic basket) So, what delicious treats did you bring for us today, Tim?

Tim: (Grinning) Well, we've got some fresh fruit, sandwiches, and some sweet pastries. I hope you like them!

Snow White: (Smiling) This all looks wonderful! Thank you for inviting us.

Rose Red: (Excited) Yes, we've been looking forward to this picnic!

The four friends enjoy their picnic, chatting and laughing as they share stories and food. It's a lovely day, and the worries of the academy and the outside world seem momentarily distant.

After a delightful picnic, Nova, Tim, and their apprentices return to the academy, their hearts lighter from the fun day they've had. As the sun sets, they part ways, but the bond between mentors and apprentices continues to grow stronger, setting the stage for their future adventures.

They chatter, Rose Red looks at Tim daydreaming and ask if he is paying attention yet he excuse to apologize and mention how he is distracted by all the animals here and plants are so different from his village as Snow White comments with a soft voice it makes sense compare to them aristocrats that settled somewhere in the nearby regions of Indigo Kingdom as Nova got busy with entertaining them as he hand gestures (with his energetic CHUNNIBYOU side) to Snow White his apprentice to pay attention as he passes down his improved combat knowledge to mix his neo-heim and Primal style (Lady Scarecrow's) that relaxes As Red Rose explained to Tim certain plants and animals are only native to this kingdom compare to where Tim is at Garnet Kingdom

Tim: (Apologetic) Sorry about that, Rose Red. It's just that everything here is so fascinating and different from my hometown.

Snow White: (Gently) Don't worry, sir Tim. It's normal to be curious about new things. This kingdom has its unique beauty.

Nova: (Enthusiastic) That's right! And Tim, if you ever want to learn more about this place or practice some combat techniques, just let me know. I'm here to help!

Rose Red: (Excited) We appreciate your guidance, sir Nova! And sir Tim, you'll get used to it here. There's so much to explore and learn.

They continue their stroll, Tim was now more attentive to the exotic flora and fauna of Coloria Kingdom while Nova imparts his combat wisdom to Snow White, forging a deeper bond between mentor and apprentice.

As the day turns to evening, they decide to find a spot to sit and enjoy the rest of their picnic together.

Rose Red and Snow White exchanged curious glances before addressing their mentors, Nova-Senpai and Tim-Senpai.

Rose Red spoke first, addressing Tim with an air of nervousness in her voice, "Um, Tim-Senpai, I was wondering... what do you think about the Sacred Context? I mean, it's such a big part of our lives here in Coloria, and I've heard so many different opinions about it, so I thought it might be interesting to know what you think."

Tim scratched his head nervously, his words stumbling slightly, "Well, uh, Rose Red... you know, I'm not sure. I mean, it's important and all, and we should respect it, right? But sometimes it feels like there's a lot of divine laws involved, and I don't get that stuff."

Snow White turned her gentle gaze toward Nova, her voice soft and curious, "And what about you, Nova-Senpai? What's your take on the Sacred Context? Do you think it's as important as they say?"

Nova leaned casually against the tree, his eyes reflecting a mix of wisdom and experience, "Well, you see, Snow White, the Sacred Context is undoubtedly an integral part of this world, and it holds a significant place in the lives of many people here. However, I also believe that it's essential to approach it with an open mind. There might be aspects of it that we don't fully understand, and it's crucial to learn, respect, and adapt to the world we find ourselves in."

Tim nodded in agreement, though his expression was still somewhat uncertain. "Yeah, what Nova said. We may not have all the answers, but we can try our best to navigate this world while staying true to ourselves."

Rose Red and Snow White seemed satisfied with their mentors' responses, nodding in understanding. They realized that the Sacred Context was indeed a complex and multifaceted concept, and their mentors' perspectives had given them some food for thought.

As the conversation continued, the four of them enjoyed the remainder of their picnic, strengthening the bond between mentors and apprentices in the warm glow of the day.

before Nova felt unsatisfied with his COMPLICATED answer and spoke "In summary there are rules or laws that did justice for this imperial nation in all 7 Kingdoms, but in reality..if you want my bunt opinion guys-" *he says with a serious yet tender tone that made Snow White expressed admiration to her mentor on why the girls in the academy adore him* "ahem, I meant was... there are laws you should follow, but that doesn't mean you obey them blindly..like if you have your moral compass its okay to take risk to break the rules even though in the eyes of the public is wrong... That integrity..same for if there's no law against something doesn't mean ITS ALLOWED to be done if it's morally questionable.."

Nova's clarification drew the attention of his apprentices even more, and they hung on his words with admiration for their knowledgeable mentor. Snow White was particularly captivated by his wisdom.

"That makes sense, Nova-Senpai," Rose Red chimed in, nodding thoughtfully. "So, it's like... there's a balance between following the law and following your sense of right and wrong."

Tim, who had been listening attentively, added, "Yeah, it's about finding that middle ground where you can do what's right, even if it means breaking the rules sometimes."

Snow White spoke softly, her eyes reflecting a newfound understanding, "Thank you both, Nova-Senpai and Tim-Senpai. Your perspectives really help us see things more clearly."

Nova smiled at his apprentices, pleased that they were learning valuable lessons. "You're welcome, Snow White and Rose Red. Remember, being open to different perspectives and thinking critically about the world around you is essential as you grow and learn."

With the sun casting a warm, golden glow on their picnic spot, the four of them continued to chat and enjoy their time together, strengthening the bond between mentors and apprentices even further.

before Tim knows their smiles are hiding something (especially from the girls) as he asks "why ask so suddenly?" *then the girls looked at each other as they were twins before they gulped as Red Rose spoke "erm-I think I had a friend with other upperclassmen I think y-you both, Tim-senpai and Nova-senpai...You both recall the name Lirael right? An elf?" *the boys look at each other, Nova still near the tree as Tim near the female twins to nod as they explain she is one of the girls that flock on them (mostly him) during their first physical arena combat evaluated enrollment* "Ahh w-well, d-despite being an upperclassmen like you both...she is a lower rank upperclassment on rank 7...and well erm-someone in your side of the student body spectrum..well..is being ma-manipulate to assist perversing another friend of ours..." *Snow White notice her sister's unease as she added* "w-well we mean to ask..please help our friend and your fellow upperclassmen to be defiled or used as pawns.." *nova Joins them on the Picnic carpet and knelt* "alright, tell us..who was it?" *they both whispered to the boys that Vixen and Reynard the 3rd were culprits they got from Lirael herself the info

Tim and Nova exchanged concerned glances as they listened to the twins' revelation. The mention of Lirael and her connection to their upperclassmen, Vixen and Reynard, raised red flags. Tim was particularly disturbed by the idea of someone being manipulated for sinister purposes.

Tim nodded firmly and spoke, "We'll help, of course. Nobody should be manipulated or used against their will. But we need more information. Do you know how Vixen and Reynard are doing this? What's their motive?"

Snow White and Rose Red shared a worried look, and it was Snow White who responded, "We're not entirely sure about their motive, but Lirael mentioned that they're using some sort of enchanted jewelry to control her. As for how she didn't provide many details, but she said they've been targeting her with it for a while."

Nova frowned, deep in thought. "Enchanted jewelry can be tricky, but it's not unbeatable. We'll have to figure out a way to break the control and confront Vixen and Reynard. Could you arrange a meeting with Lirael so we can get more information directly from her?"

The twins nodded, relieved that Tim and Nova were willing to help. "We can do that," Rose Red assured them. "Thank you both for being willing to assist."

With their determination renewed and a plan forming, the four of them discussed their next steps over the remainder of their picnic, determined to put an end to the manipulation and protect their fellow upperclassman.

before Tim felt guilty and admitted to asking for any other details like the duos' mood? then the girls said their friend that isn't Lirael (the apprentice of one of the bestialkin vulpes) admitted specifically Reynard the 3rd is in a very bad mood lately then Tim gasped, the twins were confused as he spoke and explained he 2 days ago during last of weekdays to spar with Reynard the 3rd, despite being a draw he felt he was defeated by him.

Tim's revelation about his recent encounter with Reynard the 3rd caught the twins by surprise. Snow White and Rose Red exchanged worried glances, realizing that this situation might be more complicated than they initially thought.

Rose Red hesitated before speaking, "So, you're saying that Reynard may have targeted you because he felt threatened by your sparring match?"

Tim nodded solemnly. "It's possible. He was in a really bad mood, and it seemed like he had something to prove. He might be trying to establish dominance or assert himself, which could explain why he's involved in manipulating Lirael."

Nova chimed in, his expression serious. "If Reynard's in a bad mood and is seeking to prove himself, it could make him more reckless or aggressive. We need to be cautious when dealing with him. Do you know where we can find him or Vixen?"

Snow White nodded, looking determined. "We can try to get that information for you. But please be careful, Senpais. Vixen and Reynard can be formidable opponents."

Tim and Nova shared a determined look. They were now faced with a challenging situation involving their fellow upperclassmen and a potentially dangerous enchantment. But they were resolved to help and put an end to the manipulation, no matter the risks involved.

then Tim and Nova told them "For now, let us the Elite Combatants deal with these as our responsibility and we thank you our apprentices for informing us-" *they nodded before they cleaned up their picnic baskets for the day and returned to their dorms (but for the boys are dormouse)

After the discussion with Snow White and Rose Red, Tim and Nova were determined to confront the situation involving Vixen and Reynard the 3rd. They thanked their apprentices for the valuable information and assured them that they would handle the matter.

As the picnic came to an end, they all cleaned up their picnic baskets, bid their apprentices goodbye, and returned to their respective dorms. Tim and Nova knew that they had a challenging task ahead of them, but they were ready to face it head-on and put an end to the manipulation that threatened their fellow upperclassman, Lirael.

Nova spoke and had a suggestion "What if since its still offday today and 7 NF/Ni.Fa (PM) currently, could we check on Lirael's dormouse then?"

Tim agreed with Nova's suggestion, realizing that it would be a good idea to check on Lirael and see if she was okay. He knew they needed more information about the situation before taking any further action. "Alright, let's go check on Lirael's dormhouse," Tim said as they both headed in that direction.

As they walked through the academy grounds, they couldn't help but feel a sense of urgency. They were determined to uncover the truth and put an end to the manipulation that had been affecting their fellow upperclassman.

they knocked on Lirael's door she had this hidden mark on her chest but she hid it with her scarf, then as she saw the boys she beamed with the familiar faces "Sir Nova and Sir Timotheus Richmond, what are you two doing here?"

Nova and Tim greeted Lirael with warm smiles as they stood at her dorm's entrance. "Hey, Lirael," Nova began, "we heard about the situation you're in, and we wanted to check on you. Are you doing okay?"

Tim nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we just want to make sure you're alright. Can we come in and talk for a bit?"

Lirael got awkwardly quiet as she uttered "Where did you hear of that?"

Tim and Nova exchanged a brief look before Nova replied, "We spoke with your friends, Rose Red and Snow White. They mentioned the situation with Vixen and Reynard. We're concerned about what's happening, and we'd like to help if we can."

Tim added, "You don't have to go through this alone. Please, if you're comfortable, share what's been going on."

Lirael looks around before opening the door of her dorm "Sure come in, let me prepare some tea-" she says serious tone "Also, to be specific nothing bad happened to me... Those girls well...they are your apprentices and I know you both are great people as a classmate yet..." she says as she lends drinks to them "I think I am just an indirective...the true person you shall worry about is Matchel..an underclassman best friend of those twins under you both.."

The boys entered Lirael's dorm, taking a seat as she prepared tea. Nova listened attentively while Tim looked concerned.

"Matchel?" Nova asked. "Can you tell us more about what's happening to her? Is she in some kind of trouble because of Vixen and Reynard?"

Lirael sighed and nodded. "Yes, she is. They've been pressuring her to do things against her will. Matchel's in a tough spot, and I'm not sure how to help her. She's terrified of them."

Tim clenched his fists, his expression growing more serious. "We won't let them harm anyone. If you can provide us with more information about what they're doing to Matchel, we'll do everything we can to stop it."

Nova spoke as this felt familiar, at least to his modern life experiences and bookworm knowledge that he hinted to Tim when the twins already mentioned to them earlier in their picnic before it ended his friend nodded before Nova continued "How about you? what do you mean indirective? Are they dragging you to help or assist in affecting Matchel badly by force?"

Lirael looked down at her tea, her expression troubled. "I'm not directly involved in their schemes, but they know about my... past. They've been threatening to reveal my secrets if I don't cooperate. It's why I'm cautious and hesitant to do anything. If they expose me, it could ruin my life here."

Nova nodded sympathetically. "We understand your predicament, Lirael. Your safety is important to us as well. We'll be discreet in handling this situation."

Tim added, "For now, let's focus on helping Matchel. Do you have any information about where she might be or what they've been pressuring her to do?"

Lirael nodded. "I can tell you what I know, but please promise me you won't let them harm her."

Nova and Tim exchanged determined glances before promising Lirael that they would do their best to protect Matchel.

before she spoke, Nova was secretly practicing using his advanced mana-sight to read her aura and noticed a secret sigil hidden under her scarf on her chest he blushed, cuz Tim is busy waiting before Nova left that detection and spoke: "let me guess...they cast a curse or spell unto you? a sigil right?" *she was impressed how a Luminous-mana type person could tell such, maybe good intuition? (unaware that it is Nova's rare skill as an ecto-mana type in secret) as she reveals herself under uniform with no scarf Nova spoke "Before we speak about Matchel...May I remove the curse?" *Tim spoke to cover up Nova since Lirael was doubtful* "Nova is improving his magic lately so trust me..."

Lirael hesitated for a moment, clearly conflicted. Then, she nodded and pulled the scarf away, revealing the hidden sigil etched onto her chest. It was an intricate design, pulsating with dark energy.

Nova carefully approached her, his fingers glowing with a faint luminous aura. With great concentration, he began to channel his mana to unravel the curse. He could feel the resistance, the dark magic pushing back, but he persisted, his determination unwavering.

As Nova continued his work, Lirael visibly relaxed, the tension in her shoulders melting away. It was clear that the curse had been a heavy burden on her for some time.

Finally, with a surge of mana, Nova managed to break the curse. The sigil on Lirael's chest dissipated, leaving behind a faint wisp of energy that faded into nothingness.

Lirael took a deep breath and smiled gratefully at Nova. "Thank you," she said, her voice filled with genuine relief. "I can't believe you did that. I feel so much better already."

Nova nodded, his sense of accomplishment evident in his expression. "Glad I could help. Now, let's talk about Matchel. What's been happening with her?"

Tim spoke "Wait-let Lady Lirael relax.." he patted her back with tears of joy "Now I guess they can't bother you for the time being.." *Lirael nods before she speaks that whatever the female twins tell the boys is true...Matchel is an underclassman of Vixen (female bestialkin Vulpes) to is abusively defiled of her will...there's no taboo of sorts from Sacred Context as she recalled but maybe the academy policies could be noticeable and they could stop it?

Nova and Tim exchanged concerned glances as they listened to Lirael's explanation. It was clear that they needed to take action to protect Matchel and put an end to this abuse.

Tim spoke first, his voice firm. "We can't let this continue. It's our responsibility as seniors to ensure the well-being of the students in this academy. Nova, what do you think we should do?"

Nova nodded, his expression serious. "I agree. We need to confront Vixen and Reynard and put a stop to their actions. No one should be subjected to such mistreatment."

Lirael looked relieved that they were taking this seriously. "I appreciate your help, sirs. Matchel is a good person, and she doesn't deserve what's happening to her."

Nova and Tim exchanged determined looks. "We'll do everything in our power to help her," Nova assured Lirael. "But we'll need your cooperation and any information you can provide to assist us."

Lirael nodded. "I'll help in any way I can. Thank you both for being willing to step in and make a difference."

With their resolve strengthened, the three of them began to form a plan to confront Vixen and Reynard and bring an end to their abusive behavior.
