Looking at Jack deeply,
"How did you know I would attack you?" Ray asked, his gaze intense. "I will give this guy a painful death."
"You know what? I've started thinking the same as you, brainless villains. The first thing I'll do after the end is consider all my friends as enemies, including you, Ray," Jack replied, suddenly straightening a shotgun that appeared in his hand.
Da!
Ray dodged but was still injured by a shell. "You m******er, I will kill you," he shouted in anger.
Fire coated his body as he ran toward Jack with a flame-coated fist. Calmly, Jack watched. "Brainless."
He shot again; Ray dodged and reached Jack with a triumphant smile. "I won. Now die."
Grabbing his fist, Jack smiled. Under Ray's disbelief, he broke his arm with a downward strike.
"Aaaaah, bastard, son…"
Crack!
Teeth flew out, blood and air came out of Ray's mouth with the broken jaw.
Ice grab!
Instantly freezing the shoulder joint of the other arm.
Crack!
Breaking the knee joint, Ray knelt on the ground in painful agony, looking at Jack with horror, fear, and a sense of cruelty. This guy was as ruthless as before. Ray's heart filled with rage—why did Jack have everything before the end and now even more strength and resources after the end? It wasn't fair. His eyes turned red.
Looking at Jack, Ray said grievously, "I will be waiting for you in hell."
Jack seated himself in front of Ray, observing him with interest. After a moment of tense silence, he broke it, "Do you think the grenade you're hiding will take my life? Be thankful I'm offering you death."
Ray, shocked, was about to respond when a red line appeared on his neck, and his head separated and fell. In his last visual glimpse, he saw Jack's expressionless face with a sharp katana in hand. "Jack of all Trade," a fleeting thought appeared before darkness claimed him.
Placing his feet on Ray's body, Jack initiated the devouring process. Slowly, Ray's form shriveled as his power was absorbed by the ring and fed back into Jack's body.
"Only two points, this waste stuff," Jack shook his head in disappointment, rubbing his shoes on the ground and glancing at the panel.

Having absorbed a talented evolver, Jack's talent and elemental control increased to a 20-meter radius. "So that's the way to upgrade the talent and skills," he noted with satisfaction.
Smiling, Jack said, "Now my synthesis time is reduced by half, elemental attack range increased to 20m, and the time to condense an elemental attack is reduced by half."
He glanced at an ice arrow, condensed in one second without water access and in half a second with water access. Condensing ice cones, he blasted them toward the wall, freezing the area. Even without the crossbow, he realized he could attack, but the crossbow had a more piercing effect.
"I can also control metal," Jack remarked, looking at the grenade he had jammed. "It's amazing, but I have to explore more."
Glancing at the ring, he wondered, "What kind of wonder is it?"
"Next, it's time to explore the world and increase my strength," Jack declared. Previously, he started late and was left behind by other evolvers, spending his life oppressed by others.
"First, go to that supermarket, kill all those scums, then empty all its stuff," Jack decided as he started the A1, navigating out of the villa area.
As he encountered Nightwalkers around, Jack selected impact mode on the screen. Metal guards appeared on all sides of the RV, crushing all the Nightwalkers in its path.
Ignoring help signs on faraway houses and apartments, Jack shook his head and sped up. He had saved many humans in his previous life due to kindness, but they had betrayed him. Now, only his interest remained—he saved who he wanted to save.
After a while, he stopped near a street and saw a huge round tail flickering half outside the street corner. Checking the map, he identified the area as Henhaim. "It must be a rat. There surely are a lot of rats in Henhaim."
"Well, it's time to hunt. After this area, there are crowded places everywhere, filled with Nightwalkers during the day and Nightcrawlers at night. It will be hard to find a beast," Jack mused.
Driving the RV around the street, he spotted a large black rat eating Nightcrawler or human flesh. Jack aimed his crossbow at its eyes. To efficiently hunt a beast, he knew he had to strike its senses first—vision first, then hearing and smell.
Tsk! Tsk! Tsk!
The arrow flew toward the rat's eyes, making its hair stand up. The rat raised its head, and the arrows missed its eyes but pierced its mouth. Squeaking in pain, it turned toward Jack and ran in his direction.
Just halfway across the street, it slid on the ground. All its feet were separated by a thin wire bound in the middle of the street. Looking at the squeaking beast, Jack smiled, put away the umbrella, appeared in front of its head, and inserted his two swords into its eyes, messing up its brain inside. After absorbing it, he navigated away.
Stopping near a hill, Jack looked at the wreckage and smoking Capital City Apollo—once a symbol of power, now brought to its knees in just one day.
Looking toward the east side of the city, Jack identified the world's first human sanctuary, controlled by Jellal, the president of the World Federation. The second sanctuary was in East Capital, controlled by Long Hao, the ruler of the East Empire. The third sanctuary was in West Capital, controlled by Bill Hill, the ruler of the West Empire. The fourth was in the North, controlled by Zoden Iceman, an ice talent evolver, the new ruler of the North Empire.
There was no fifth sanctuary. In a few days, the entire south territory would become a battlefield between beasts, Nightwalkers, and Nightcrawlers, with the smallest ratio of human survivors compared to other territories.
Except for these four sanctuaries, there would be other small and large human establishments. Humans couldn't travel to the central territory from other territories. Soon, all electronic products, electricity, and even batteries would become waste products. Satellites sent by humans in space would fall, resulting in a total blackout for the world. After that, humans tried every way, but they couldn't restore long-distance communication.
