Jack then modified the land around, scattering the seeds of flowers and trees he brought across the whole planet. He planted fruit and coconut tree seeds around the lake and water flow, vacated land for staple food and vegetables, and planted sprouting trees and plants under his control.
Looking at the shocked Luna, Jack smiled, then asked curiously, "Luna, what kind of ability have you awakened?"
Luna pointed at herself, and Jack nodded. After thinking for a while, Luna closed her eyes, opened them, and walked toward a seed, picking it up. "Husband, I can feel the properties and lifespan of this seed. Otherwise, I don't know."
Jack was surprised. What kind of talent is this? He then asked, "Luna, try absorbing the lifespan of this seed."
Luna hesitated, then nodded. After a while, the seed withered in her hand. Jack became solemn. It was a life-related talent.

Looking at the Life Talent and its description, Jack was shocked. This ring had heaven-defying functions, able to decipher and copy other people's talents. He wondered if it already had these features or if they were added after synthesis. Looking at the 101 mark on Luna's head, indicating a lifespan two years longer than his own, Jack noticed Luna's strange expression, as if hiding something. He wanted to laugh; it seemed she didn't want to reveal all the functions of the Life Talent.
"Luna, I am going to transfer everything from outside the castle to inside. You should stay here and manage the seeds I just planted," Jack explained. Luna stopped, glancing at him with worry. "You must be careful," Luna said solemnly.
Jack nodded, smiled at her solemn expression, kissed her, and then disappeared.
Inside the Ring World,
Luna shook her head, scrutinizing the item name tags on containers that brimmed with a myriad of daily essentials, groceries, and seasoning. Each container, a repository of sustenance, harbored over 100 tons of fundamental foodstuffs like flour, rice, and sugar. A realization dawned upon her - these provisions, if consumed alone, could potentially endure for over a millennium.
Puzzled, she mused, "So, Husband was preparing them for the end. But how did he know about the end beforehand?"
Amidst the emptiness left behind by Jack's meticulous transfer of everything from the castle, he ventured outside, selecting an open area beside the castle to initiate tests on his newfound abilities.
His thoughts unfolded, "First, create life-saving moves, then progress to the next procedure."
With a wave of his hand, water vapor coalesced into a sphere, and an icicle, resembling a cone, propelled into the distant ground. Jack delved into experiments involving fireballs, wooden thorns, rock pillars, lightning speed, light healing, shadow binding, space teleportation, and time stop.
Observing his increased stamina after a brief respite, Jack remarked, "It seems the time ability I can use once an hour. But as my strength grows, this ability will expand, and the usage time will diminish."
Gazing towards the gate, he commented, "Survival in the early stages is easy for me, but for others, it's a challenge. Humans not only confront Nightwalkers but also colossal beasts. Even those worms have transformed into lethal monsters."
From the castle roof, Jack surveyed the horizon, spotting a colossal shadow resembling an elephant in flight. Quickly taking cover, he noted, "It's a sky eagle now, previously we called it an eagle beforehand."
Soon after, a massive 2-meter-tall creature appeared, previously called a harmless squirrel known as a Bertsqueek, appeared, devouring a Nightwalker outside the villa.
"A truly horrifying world," Jack observed, transforming his umbrella into a high-tech, noiseless crossbow.
An ice arrow condensed inside after gathering water vapours through the air. "It seems the gathering of element particles is slow. Is it?" Jack pondered. He thought he would be able to use the element control ability the same as in the ring, but it seemed not to be the case. He could feel his control on the element was limited outside where water concentration was lower.
Jack then took out a bottle filled with water, opened it, and started condensing the arrow again while concentrating his element gathering at the water inside the bottle. Looking at the improved condensation rate,
Opting for a water-filled bottle to enhance arrow condensation, Jack acknowledged, "It's still slow. Previously, it was an arrow in 2 seconds; now it's 1 in 1. Anyway, it's better than before."
Condensing a few more arrows as ammo, he aimed at the eye of the beast and shot. Blood splattered, and the beast started calling out angrily just as it wanted to react; its other eye was also hit and popped.
It became crazy, started running toward the villa gate, which Jack quickly opened, sliding inside.
Jack hurriedly pushed the button to close the gate, left those Nightwalker outside, thankfully there are few Knightwalker outside, shooting a few arrows at the beast from its blind spot while keeping a safe distance. After a while, the beast fell down exhausted.
Jack pulled out his sword and pressed it through the beast's head. Looking at the dead body and its dangerous claws, he remarked, "A lot of fools died before because they started close combat with these beasts. A small scratch of those claws can send normal humans and early evolvers to Hades. That's why there was a rule: before reaching the third level of evolution, don't engage in close combat with clawed beasts. As for non-clawed beasts like herbivores, you can hunt them; just keep yourself safe from their horns."
"Well, I hope there is a core inside," Jack muttered, looking at the beast's heart. He pierced its skin and ribs, grabbing the heart with both hands.
Suddenly, Jack was startled as his ring shone with a grey light, starting to absorb the beast's heart and body essence. Slowly, the heart and body shriveled, turning into ashes and leaving only skin, teeth, nails, and bones.
Jack didn't pay attention to them. He closed his eyes in comfort, and the ring released a warm current that spread through his whole body. It felt like something was washing his cells, which cheered happily like children.
