Elizabeth woke up the next morning feeling more comfortable than she usually was. And she knew exactly why when she realized that she was snuggled close to Arduous. But then, she also realized he was now wearing a white t-shirt unlike last night when he was topless and it wasn't hard to tell that he had already woken up. His hair was still a bit damp, probably from the shower.
"I woke up early for my morning workout."
She nearly pushed him away when she heard him. "Don't you know how to say you're awake even when your eyes are closed?"
"Is there a need for that?"
"Yes, because you are going to give me a heart attack."
Arduous happened to be awake, although she really thought he was still asleep because his eyes were closed and he wasn't moving apart from his relaxed breathing. That was why she really thought he was asleep and was shocked when he suddenly spoke while his eyes were still closed.
