Elizabeth was frozen on her spot as she felt Arduous lips onto hers as he kissed her. But it wasn't the usual kiss that she knew from her ex-boyfriend. Arduous' lips were moving as his tongue was seeking an entrance of her mouth and she didn't know what got to her that she opened her mouth willingly and let his mouth wander inside.
They were still at the hotel's hallway, she hadn't inserted her keycard yet to enter her suite but there she was, letting herself be kissed by a man whom she just met that night. But then, she just found herself kissing him back and moaning softly as his hand started to make its way on her body.
Her body was as if it had its own life that she moved her arm and hand to scan the keycard on the scanner without breaking their kiss, and when she heard the lock clicked, she invited him in while still kissing each other. Whilst Arduous who was already lost in his own fantasy and the intoxicating taste of Elizabeth's lips was more than glad to go in.
"Uhm,"
"Damn,"
Arduous was the first one to let go when he felt that she was already running out of air and it seemed like she wasn't used to being kissed like that, that she doesn't know how to control it. He was fast when Elizabeth wiggled and nearly fell on the floor.
"Are you okay?" he asked.
Elizabeth, who was still dazed, nodded, "I-I'm okay, I'm just… you know, uhm, shocked."
She gasped when Arduous lifted her up and walked her to the long sofa in the middle of the suite, carefully sitting her there. She followed Arduous' movements as he sat in the space beside her. The room fell silent for a while before she decided to break it, mustering all her courage to voice out her thoughts though it only came out as a whisper that Arduous still heard.
"That kiss was good,"
Arduous couldn't help but chuckle, "Elizabeth, it's obvious. You wouldn't kiss me back if it wasn't good and if you didn't like it."
He made his last sentence sound sexy that made Elizabeth bite her lips which he found sexy and again, arousing. It has just been a few hours since he encountered and bumped into her at the hotel's lobby then meeting her coincidentally again at his parents' house, but she was able to make him feel hot and aroused several times that day.
He was sure that there was something in her that made his body react like that. He had been with different women making his sex fantasies come into life, so he knew that there was something to her. After all, he has high standards for the women he was bringing to bed.
Elizabeth shook her head while smiling, "Well, you're right but please, just Eli. Elizabeth is too long."
"Whatever you want then, Eli. So… you're not mad about the kiss?"
She couldn't help looking at him with her eyes narrowed hearing how he asks things. Arduous was straightforward and does not hesitate to ask things related to sex and intimacy which was new for her and of course, interesting.
"If I was mad about it, do you think I'll kiss you back?"
Arduous' lips tugged into a smile when he heard her response. She was starting to talk more which was a good thing.
While Elizabeth for a moment couldn't also help to think about it. She wasn't mad nor against it, in fact, she liked it. And it was what surprised her. Even her ex-boyfriend was not able to kiss her like that. Not that she was innocent and old-schooled but because she doesn't like the way he was trying to do it for some reason.
"Well, then, I guess we're good with that and I can go now."
"You're leaving?"
She didn't know what was with her that moment and it sounded as if she didn't want him to leave. Even Arduous smirked hearing that and leaned to whisper in her ear.
"As much as I wanted to stay, I'm still controlling myself for now."
She wasn't innocent not to get what he was saying that made her bite her lips and for some reason, gave her a feeling of excitement. Before she could even respond, Arduous was already at that door and waving his hands at her. But before he left, he made sure to let her know that it wouldn't be the last time that they would see each other.
"I'll text you later,"
As soon as the door closed and she was left alone in her suite, she grabbed the throw pillow beside her and put it on her face as she screamed like a lovesick teenager. Until at that moment, she could still feel their kiss and how Arduous seemed to be interested in her.
For some moment, Elizabeth was liking her stay in America. She had just been in the US for about three days and things were going pretty good with her despite things being so different and away from what she used to do, see, and believe when she was still in Europe.
One of the main reasons why she decided to go there and stay for three months was because she was moving on from her heartache wayback in London. And with what was happening, it seemed to her that things would be easier and less stressful for her as she moved on overseas.
But what she didn't know was that going to America would indeed help her to move on properly and faster but there are corresponding consequences with each of them.
And she didn't know that the consequences with what she tried to embrace during her short stay in America would be that fatal that it would almost destroy her,
"Had I known that things would turn out like this, I shouldn't have gone with it."
"I shouldn't have entertained this damn feeling."
