"Please, let me join the sect! I beg you!" On a rainy night, a youth begged on his knees in front of a giant gate with 'Moonlight Sect' written on it. It was evident by the intensity of the weather- a storm was on its way, yet the boy didn't retreat.
He has been kneeling for nearly 5 hours now. His knees and forehead were bleeding from the ground's roughness. His voice was mostly supressed by the wind, only a small portion of it resonating weakly.
The wind and rain suddenly intensified, and the youth was pushed backwards. Lighting formed in the clouds and shot down towards him.
But there was nothing he can do. He was tired and his vision had become blurry. He had been unconscious ever since the storm pushed him back and he could not see the lighting about to descend.
Before he blacked out, a blurred figure appeared before him.
He woke up after a while and immediately got excited. He was obviously inside the Moonlight Sect! Although the room look ordinary, the outside was swarming with the sect's disciples.
'Did they accept me as a disciple? My wounds have also healed. Who was it that saved me from the storm.?'
He decided to explore the room and found out it was- very ordinary. A voice sounded behind him in the process…
"You're a quite energetic youngster aren't you?" A soft and gentle voice was voice from the direction of the door.
The boy fell on one knee and expressed his gratitude.
"Thank you Senior for helping me! My name is Lekin. May I know Senior's name?" The boy- Lekin, said in a serious voice. He was filled with excitement and anticipation.
"You may rise."
Suddenly, Lekin's body magically floated and he was back standing on his legs.
"The name's Atlem. I just happened to be passing by, else you would have died. I used a low grade pill to heal your injuries. Since my position in the sect is not high, I can't directly make you a disciple. I can only request for you to be taken in."
As he said that, he lifted his right hand and light flew out of it, appearing around Lekin's neck, it was a token.
"The trial for recommended disciples will be held after 2 days at the Secr heroes' statues, I expect you to be on time."
"Thank you Se-" Before Lekin could finish, he was cast out of the house by Atlem's magic. After he left, Atlem's serious appearance disappeared and he jumped on the bed.
