They'd been working for hours.
As usual, time seemed to slow down as they passed it, each second dragging out interminably as they tried to sort through the stone slabs and get the hang of figuring out where they were.
After what seemed like an eternity, Merwyn's face brightened, and he waved a tablet around in the air. "Ha~! Found it! Escape~!"
Her head jerked up and she looked at him eagerly. "You found it? The correct...slab? With all three of us looking happy and definitely leaving?"
"Mhm, Mhm. Look!"
He handed the carving to Emily with a smile, leaning against her happily. "You look very cute, Wifey~" He hummed happily.
It was an image of Merwyn in the process of giving her and Adrien a thumbs up.
She peered at the images in the carving. "So...we just...need to work backward from this one."
It felt like a game.
Kind of like solving a crossword or doing a Sudoku.
