It wasn't long after that before Merwyn led her through the maze-like structures of the Fae Festival, weaving past and around other revelers.
Soon, they arrived at an area where the festival goers seemed to be more concentrated than in other parts.
It was an open courtyard, with benches, trees, flowers, and decorations of all kinds.
Several musicians played music while people danced around in a circle, following a beat she couldn't make sense of.
The song sounded like a string orchestra, with flute and harp accompaniment, all coming together into a harmonious melody that flowed naturally, but didn't make sense to her ears.
Or maybe the notes were too fast or high, she couldn't tell.
She'd never been good at keeping up with classical music.
"Wow..." She whispered, "So pretty..."
She let her eyes linger on the fae as they passed around.
She felt a sudden tap on her shoulder.
