It was cold outside.
Much, much colder than it had been when they went to bed, in fact. And so much more windy. Even in the cave they'd curled up in, it seemed the wind and rain managed to whip its way inside and angrily let them all know they were still outside.
Really, if she were being honest with herself, she hadn't ever gone camping or traveled through anywhere chilly in her old world. Actually, she'd barely gone camping at all.
She'd barely gotten out at all until she'd been shoved into getting her sales job, and once that happened she never had the kind of time to be thinking about things like trips to go camping or wildlife tours.
In some ways...that meant that she was way more sheltered, it seemed. Hard as she worked and how she felt it was unfortunate at the time, now somehow made it worse for her once she was out and about in the wild like she couldn't be before.
