Chapter 76 - Seventy-Sixth

As the sun began to set, the sky gradually shifted from a warm orange and pink to a soft violet and deep blue. The chilly winter wind howled outside of the castle, blowing in flurries of snow she hadn't even noticed beginning to fall.

Truthfully, Emily hadn't even been keeping track of the seasons since arriving in this world. She'd had far more important things to worry about than what season it happened to be.

Thus, it was only with the falling snow that she surmised it must actually be winter.

The first real sign of the passing of time since she arrived.

She hadn't kept track of how long, but it had to be at least two months in that world so far, and she couldn't even tell you the season it was outside.

She could feel a pit forming in her stomach as she contemplated the passage of time. It didn't feel as though it'd been so long since she arrived.

Was her original world not concerned for her? Did they think she was dead? Did they care?
