Chapter 67 - Sixty-Seventh

Adrien's question caught her off guard.

She wasn't really certain why such a simple question - one that, in hindsight, was perfectly fitting and appropriate to be asked at that time - caught her so off guard.

But...

It certainly did.

Maybe it wasn't the content of the question but how he said it. Or who had said it in the first place.

Her mouth hung open slightly, caught between a gasp and a laugh.

Her heart pounded rapidly against her chest.

She felt caught. Trapped in an inescapable whorl of Adrien's beautiful violet eyes. They were a different shade from hers. More vibrant. More colorful.

They stood out even against his deep purple hair. A complement, rather than overwhelming or distracting from his overall beauty.

He was always such a sight to behold sometimes she worried just looking at him would distract her such that she'd lose her train of thought or get stuck staring like a fool..
