Emily woke up the following morning to sunlight streaming in through the windows. She didn't even remember noticing windows the night before. That's how tired she'd been making it into the bed.
It took her a minute to fully regain consciousness and remember where she was.
Once she did though, she smiled as she remembered she and the others had stopped at a fort of some kind. They'd made it through that narrow pass on the mountainside and not gotten attacked by any orcs, either.
Her memory was fuzzy enough not to remember a layout, but she did have enough sleepy memories to know that it looked nice, for being stuck so far out into the wilderness like this one was.
She rolled onto her back and stretched lazily. "Mmm...time to wake up." She murmured to herself while yawning widely. She sat up slowly and began getting ready for the day ahead of her.
