Merwyn grasped her hand in his own.
She stumbled a little, feeling a bit nervous about exploring what was most likely just some sort of haunted mansion in a fae forest, or whatever the fae equivalent of such an attraction was - ten times as scary, if Emily had any idea of what that might look like.
And quite possibly actually dangerous even if she had a healthy and well functioning heart.
Which she did.
She may have been an overworked salary woman at home, but she wasn't so overworked she was dying.
Yet, anyway.
But as for the manor....
Merwyn seemed only too enthusiastic to run up and examine it.
She really, really was not keen on the prospect.
Not at all.
Even if the dangerous part was probably mitigated by having Merwyn witness her...
She could see really scary things that weren't just men dressed up in cheap costumes.
