Jake finished up the last bit of wiring, the power finally restored. He wiped his hands on a rag and turned to Trisha, who was visibly relieved.
"Thanks so much for coming out here," Trisha said, her voice filled with genuine gratitude. "I really appreciate you fixing the electricity. I don't know what I would've done without you."
