Dashiell was determined to push through, even if it meant enduring discomfort. He felt a strong responsibility to be there for Trisha and the project, especially when things were so critical. Taking it easy wasn't an option for him right now.
He knew his body was capable of taking a beating, and he wasn't going to let a minor injury hold him back. He would just have to tough it out until the project was finished and the deadline met. Only then could he truly rest.
As the day went on, Dashiell tried his best to hide the pain he was in. He kept a brave face and pressed on, pushing through the discomfort. It was just around noon when Trisha walked into the office.
"Trisha," Dashiell called out as he approached her, "how was the meeting?"
Her eyes widened in surprise as she spotted Dashiell at his desk. "Dashiell? What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be resting."
