In the mountain.
Moses and Menchi walked down along the mountain path.
Rat Jewel changed back to its original form and bounced ahead.
Being naturally active and playful, Rat Jewel preferred roaming around or playing to being an obedient necklace on Moses's body.
Moreover, during the years it had been suppressing Libra, it could no longer play its favorite 'treasure hunting' game and had been cooped up at the bottom of the release pond. It's just like being in prison, and it had been suffocated for a long time.
"Master, are you going to sell this scale and crown?"
Walking on the mountain path, Menchi held up the backpack which looked a bit heavy with her back hand.
The crown, embedded with seven-colored gems, which was taken from the ruin, and Libra, now devoid of Post-Mortem Nen, were stored in the backpack.
In a stroke of luck, before Moses dealt the final blow to Shalnark, his shadow clone had thrown the crown to Menchi for safekeeping.
Afterwards, he was transported away through the 'passage' mentioned by the unknown life form.
Originally, Moses was not sure whether the crown would be sent out together. Later, when he contacted Menchi from the World Tree, he learned the crown had made it out with her, a pleasant surprise indeed.
"Well, we should sell them."
Moses replied with a smile.
Since he had no interest in collecting it, he naturally would just sell it.
Libra aside, this crown alone would definitely fetch an astronomical price.
"But we have to wait until September 1st."
Moses then added.
Hearing this, Menchi asked curiously, "Why do we have to wait until September 1st?"
"Because that's when the world's largest auction takes place."
Moses explained.
Menchi nodded in realization, though thinking it would be a hassle to carry these items around until then, given there's still several months until September 1st.
Moses seemed to see through what Menchi was thinking and said with a smile: "Before going to the Heavens Arena, let's find a safe place to store the scale and the crown."
"The bank?"
Menchi's eyes lit up.
As long as they don't have to carry these two items with them, it doesn't matter where they keep them.
"No, it's a place even safer than a bank."
Moses's eyes curved slightly.
Menchi looked puzzled when she heard this.
'A safer place than a bank?'
…
A few days later.
In the Hunter Association's Headquarters in Swardani City, in Netero's private tea room.
Netero sat on a tatami mat.
On the low table before him were not tea sets but a bronze scale exuding an ancient aura and a gorgeous crown inlaid with seven-color gems.
Netero turned his gaze to Beans, with a questioning look in his eyes, as if asking: 'Where did these items come from?'
Beans, sweating profusely, wiped his forehead with a white handkerchief several times before explaining with a wry smile, "Chairman, these items were brought here by Moses. He said he wanted you to keep them for a while. Then, he dropped them and left. I, I wanted to stop him, but he suddenly disappeared when I wasn't paying attention."
"…"
After hearing this, a rare look of helplessness appeared on Netero's old face.
'Acting before reporting...'
He lowered his eyes and looked at the scale and crown on the table.
Even a layman can see the immense value they possess.
"That rascal."
Netero shook his head helplessly.
Meanwhile.
An airship departed from the airport, heading for Heavens Arena on a distant continent.
A few days later, the airship landed.
Moses and Menchi got off the airship and returned to the city where Heavens Arena is located.
"We're back again."
Standing on the bustling street, Moses looked up at the towering Heavens Arena in the distance.
The tower-like building that rises high into the clouds looks like a sharp sword pointing straight to the sky.
Slowly looking away, Moses hailed a taxi from the roadside.
"To Heavens Arena."
Sitting in the back seat, Moses helped Menchi with the luggage and then looked at the taxi driver in the driver's seat and told him the destination.
"Alright, please fasten your safety...eh?"
The taxi driver looked at Moses in the rearview mirror and suddenly stopped talking. An expression of shock slowly appeared on his slightly dark face.
"You, you are... Mr. Illumi, right?!"
"Hmm?"
Moses was slightly surprised when he realized that he was recognized by the taxi driver.
He has disappeared for almost a year and a half, but he didn't expect that someone still remembered his identity at Heavens Arena.
"Mr. Illumi, I'm a big fan of yours!"
Without waiting for Moses to respond, the taxi driver said excitedly.
Moses smiledand said nothing.
"You were at the peak of your career back then, why did you suddenly disappear without a word? Many people thought something happened to you... Oh, excuse my poor choice of words."
The taxi driver continued talking while driving.
Moses pursed his lips and smiled quietly, simply listening to the driver's words.
Even though he remained silent, the taxi driver was still expressing his regret and excitement.
Regret for Moses's abrupt departure back then and excitement for his return now.
It wasn't until they reached the Heavens Arena that Moses and Menchiwere free from the taxi driver's buzzing chatter.
The two then came to the registration area of Heavens Arena.
Just like in the past, there was still a long queue here.
"Still as crowded as ever."
Menchi couldn't help but comment.
Moses smiled slightly, thought about it, took out his phone and dialed Killua's number.
He wanted to ask if Killua was still at Heavens Arena.
A few minutes passed.
Moses made several calls, but Killua never answered.
"Is he busy?"
Moses muttered to himself and then put away his phone.
Suddenly…
A lively advertisement sounded from the LCD screen hanging on the wall.
Then, Moses actually heard the name 'Hisoka the Roly Poly' and was shocked.
Following the sound, he saw Hisoka's figure appear on the screen.
Hisoka stood with one hand on his hip and the other holding a playing card. He leaned slightly sideways, with a half-smile on his face that was painted with his unique teardrop makeup.
Below Hisoka, there is a line of text that indicates the time and location of the match.
The match was scheduled for today at 4 PM.
"Hmm…"
Seeing Hisoka on the screen, Moses couldn't help but fall into deep thought.
'Could it be…'
'The real deal?'
