Dark Mariel gradually dissipated and returned to her normal body and got clothes, but she remained unconscious on the ground, completely unresponsive to her surroundings.
Deric, Claudia, and the others immediately rushed to check on Mariel, while Midaran rushed to take care of her husband who is Kehal maintained calm and silence.
"Take it easy, Mariel." Deric said, holding his daughter close to his chest with concern. Claudia used a healing spell to help her daughter.
It didn't take long for Mariel to regain consciousness. She slowly opened her eyes and found that she was surrounded by her parents and friends who were worried about her.
"Are you awake? Everyone was so worried about you, Mariel." Beatrix said with concern.
"How long did I faint?" Mariel asked.
"About 10 minutes." Raven said.
Kehal slowly approached everyone with Midaran. His expression and eyes showed concern, but he kept his solemn attitude.
"Good job, Mariel. You did very well, but you still need to practice more." Kehal advised.
"I… still can't win against you, Master Kehal." Mariel said with a disappointed tone.
"Don't think like that. Don't forget how old you are and how old I am. The Qi and magic power in the body of me who has trained longer must be greater than you. I have experienced countless battles and must have an advantage than you are too. You are still young, but you can fight me like this. That is very admirable." Kehal explained.
Mariel stopped for a moment before slowly bowing down to Kehal's feet to show her great respect for the valuable fighting experience that Master Kehal had given her.
"I will remember this fight and I will definitely go back and train even harder, Master Kehal." Mariel said.
"That's my disciple! Segal, could you please take me and Midaran home? I need to talk to you about something that very important." Kehal said, turning to look at Segal who was standing not far from him.
"With pleasure, Master Kehal." Segal replied.
Everyone said their goodbyes and went their separate ways. Deric and Claudia invited Kehal and Midaran to join them for dinner at their house in the evening, and they happily accepted this invitation.
Deric, Claudia, and other friends helped Mariel back home for further treatment as her condition was still worrying. Kehal and Midaran led Segal back to their house which was not far away from Deric House.
As soon as Kehal opened the door to go inside, he walked only a few steps before suddenly stopped in front of others.
"What's wrong, Master Kehal? " Segal asked curiously.
"Dear?" Midaran noticed something was wrong with her husband, so she asked and walked over to touch his back.
Aaah!!!!
Kehal cried out in pain and spat out blood all over the ground. His body trembled in pain. The sword and shield that he was holding slipped out of his both hands and fell to the ground with a loud noise.
"Master Kehal!!!" Segall rushed to support his Master Kehal's body that was about to fall to the ground in time. Midaran rushed to support him with care and used healing magic to heal her husband's internal injuries.
"At this age, she's already so skillful. In the future, it is very hard to find someone who will be able to take her down." Kehal said with admiration.
"I didn't expect that Mariel would injure Master Kehal so badly." Segal said in shock.
"Your pain is much more serious than I think. I'm afraid that you might not be able to go to Deric and Claudia's house tonight." Midaran said after using her magic power to examine her husband's injuries that were revealed from the inside of his body.
"It's okay, I'll get better. Give me a special medicine to restore vitality." Kehal asked.
"I didn't think that I would have to use this potion at this time but wait here." Midaran said as she immediately went into the small storage room inside the house, leaving Segal to take care of Kehal closely for now.
"Segal, do you want to be same level as Mariel?" Kehal turned to ask his disciple with a serious expression.
"I really want it. I even feel envious of my own sister because her skills are far more advanced than mine. Just seeing her ultimate dark form, if it were me, I would have easily lost to her in short time." Segal said.
"You have to push your limits!" Kehal advised.
"How is it? Master Kehal." Segal asked curiously.
"You know that Mariel's body has different magic energy veins than other people's, right?" Kehal said.
"Yes, I am. The characteristics of Mariel's magic energy veins are that they have many different elements and colors, they spiral and merge together with the main magic energy veins in her body. This allowed her to use various types of magic easily as she wanted, without wasting time changing elemental magic like other people who spent more time to change their magic types." Segal explained.
"That's right and including the cultivation of the Qi in the body, it will be more effective than other people. She is a special group of people who have been blessed by God, but it doesn't mean that ordinary people like us can't do that. It depends on effort, miracles and practicing more harder." Kehal said.
*The alarm sounded throughout the village*
"Are demons attacking???? Prepare for the fight now!!!" Kehal shouted in shock.
When they came out of the house, they found that the people were in shock because they didn't expect the demons to attack at this time. Kehal quickly gathered the people in the village and all the fighters to meet in the center of the city immediately.
"Everyone, divide your forces into four groups. Dominic and his friends will defend the western gate, Chivas and the others will defend the eastern gate, I and Deric's group will defend the northern gate. And you…" Kehal gave his order and turned to look at Mariel, Segal, and the others.
"You guys defend the south gate as well and protect the people from any demon attacks." Kehal commanded.
"Yes, Master Kehal." Mariel, Segal and the others immediately responded to his order.
"Let's go, everyone. The remaining people immediately hide inside the large warehouse, and some people will protect the children and the elders." Kehal gave his final order, he immediately led his army to the north gate, while the others dispersed to the east gate and west gate as assigned.
"Yujin, Raven, Beatrix, and Mania, please join the others who are protecting the children and others inside the warehouse." Segal ordered immediately.
"How did both of you be able to handle the battle at the south gate? There are so many demons coming there." Beatrix asked curiously.
"Don't worry. We can handle it easily." Segal promised.
"Trust me." Mariel said.
"But your power hasn't fully returned yet." Mania asked with concern.
"I've taken some energy recovery potions, so I can fight against them." Mariel said.
"There's no time left, hurry up and fight them!" Segal gave his final order.
Kazzzzz...
Suddenly, hundreds of large black winged demons appeared above the village's sky. The village's swordsmen and mages immediately began casting spells to attack them, while the demons also fired back with dark magic.
Many houses were damaged, with large holes in the roofs. Some houses were burned to ashes by both fire and other spells. However, this time, the group of people were well prepared, so not any person died. There were only injuries to them.
Segal ran with Mariel to the southern gate, where a small group of people were defending against a large attack from nearly a hundred demons.
"Mariel, I know that I am not on the same level as you." Segal expressed his deep feelings to his sister.
"Big brother." Mariel said as she turned to look at her brother immediately.
"I envy you because you were born with special gift than others and have abilities that no one else in your age can compare to but… I will use you as an inspiration to push my limit." Segal said with a smile.
"I believe that you can do it." Mariel said encouragingly.
"It won't be long, and we will definitely become the strongest duo fighters in this world." Segal said, conjuring a sword and shield in both hands and casting the fire magic to its maximum.
"To become the god and goddess of war together, brother." Mariel said, as she also summoned the Dragon Slayer Sword.
"Let's go, sis!" Segal said as he charged straight into the demons.
"Kill them! Brother." Mariel responded as she swung her ultimate fire magic sword at the group of demons too.
