"It's been three days and Mariel hasn't woke up yet." Claudia said with concern while sitting next to the bed and she rubbed her daughter's head.
"The medical treatment has been tried to its utmost but it will take some time for her to recover." the doctor said.
"Thank you very much." Deric said.
Deric, Claudia, and Mariel's friends were all together. Whether it be Senior Ken, Senior Jack, Jerrick, Yujin, Beatrix, Mania and Bellany.
"It's so strange. Normally, she could get better and be back to normal but why isn't this time as good as she could be?" Beatrix said curiously.
"Mania felt really strange about this too." Mania said.
"Is there any other way to help ?" Senior Ken asked the others.
As for Yujin, he prayed that his best friend would recover as soon as possible.
"You must recover, Chai! I believe in you, don't give up." Yujin thought in his mind.
Hector and Elizabeth, who had just finished their various missions in the Triwizard Festival and the General Conference several days in a row, immediately went to visit Mariel in the hospital.
"Hello, Principal Hector and Elizabeth." everyone greeted.
"Hello everyone, Mariel hasn't recovered. How long?" Hector asked curiously.
"3 days." Deric answered.
"Something strange." Hector replied, looking at Mariel who was still sleep on the bed.
In a certain dimension within Mariel's mind, her soul suddenly appeared, waking up after several days of deep sleep.
"Where am I?" Mariel said.
When she woke up, she found that she was in a hospital gown, but what was surprising was that the surroundings were completely dark, like she was in another world without light. There was only emptiness, no life around at all.
"You awake now!" A mysterious voice sounded from behind Mariel.
"Who ? Who is it?!" Mariel turned around and looked at the source of the voice.
In front of Mariel, it appeared as the black body of a demon, a woman with red lips and pitch-black eyes. Her hair was so long that it almost touched the floor. The body was naked but completely black, terrifyingly sharp claws and huge bat wings were spreading their wings and fluttering above the ground.
"You're definitely...a demon?" Mariel asked with curiosity.
"My name is Deren, I am one of the Demon Lord's high-ranking and live in the body of Chaos." The female demon said with a terrifying smile.
"What?! You've always been in the body of Chaos. How could it be?" Mariel asked.
"This is the devil's new method. A malignant infection lurks in the human body!" Deren said.
"A malignant infection lurks in the human body??? It looked like a parasite." Mariel said in confusion.
"You're clever. Humans who have evil personalities that are ready to give their souls to demons. It means giving parasites to possess their bodies for infiltration and these are our biggest goals in the future because these were the Demon Lord's last orders before being sealed away hundreds of years ago." Deren explained.
"What? But...if the Demon Lord has been sealed, there's no way he can come back!" Mariel asked curiously.
"You really are such a little kid. Sealing had its own time limit and when the sealed disappears. At that time, Demon Lord's demon army would be fully gathered and killed all the foolish humans in this world. Finally, we'll take over this world. Lol." Deren said, laughing with satisfaction.
"I will take down those demon army before the Demon Lord is released from his imprisonment!" Mariel shouted confidently.
"That's why I have to kill you before everything like this happen in the future." Deren replied by staring at Mariel with fierce eyes.
"By using the body of a young man as a sacrifice? How did you know it had to be me?" Mariel asked.
"We have some people hiding everyplace and everywhere. All magicians had no way of knowing that someone with an infection like ours was living and infiltrating their bodies. Another thing is that you are the descendant of the Dragon Slayer Sword that Legendary Swordsman Victor used to fight the Demon Lord hundreds of years ago. Therefore, we will never let you live!!!" Deren said, accelerating her dark magic and preparing to attack Mariel immediately.
"I won't lose to you!!!" Mariel said as she was preparing to fight and immediately summoned the Dragon Slayer Sword.
But... something unexpected happened. Suddenly, a curtain of demonic energy enveloped the two of them in a small area and this barrier made Mariel unable to cast any magic power at all, including summoning the Dragon Slayer Sword.
"Why can't I use any magic powers ?" Mariel asked with a shocked expression.
"Lol, because of the evil infection that Chaos used to attack her last time has already infiltrated your entire body. The various pulses and energy lines in your body were completely sealed. Now I can kill you easier without any worry. When your soul was gone, then your body will stop breathing as well, Lol." Deren said, rushing forward to attack Mariel.

"Scream some more, my dear." Deren said, slashing at Mariel until wounds were all over her.
Mariel couldn't defend herself any longer. Her body was bleeding too much, causing her consciousness to become blurry and numb. If she continued like this, her soul would definitely gone.
"Somebody helps me. Mom..Dad.." Mariel said.
"No way!!! Mariel!" Claudia cried out in utter shock.
On the patient's bed, Mariel began to have black veins bulging all over her body. Her eyes widened, but no black eyes appeared and only white eyelids. Blood began to spurt continuously from her eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. The body began to convulse without stopping. The situation is starting to become critical, like a person is about to die.
"There's no time left! Let's do this quickly now!" Hector said, immediately taking his place on the opposite side of Elizabeth. Hector held both hands together on Mariel's head, who trembled non-stop. Elizabeth took her place at her side and held both of Mariel's hands.
Hector and Elizabeth then released a healing magic energy into Mariel's body and used another magic energy to investigate the body.
"What dark magic is this? Never seen this before, it was like a black liquid flowing aimlessly throughout her body." Hector said with curiously.
"It also were trying to avoid detection by our magic!" Elizabeth said with angrily.
"Deal with it, Eli!" Hector said, using his light blue magic to block all the black liquid that was in Mariel's body and tried to escape from his magic.
"I'm trying!" Elizabeth said. She had to use her advanced magical powers to defeat the black liquid that was continuously spreading out, but it will take some time to control the proliferation of these things.
"Deric! Claudia! Quickly! Boost your power and unite it to Mariel's heart, now!!!" Hector ordered.
"All right!" Deric and Claudia answered. They used their healing power magic and ice magic in both hands and placed them on Mariel's chest above her heart within her body. As for Mariel's friends, they all cheered near the bed.
"This time! Send your magic power now!!!" Hector said loudly. Immediately, the two healing and ice magic of her father and mother shot straight into Mariel's heart, which was controlled by the evil infection. "Before you die, would you like to wish something, little kid?" Deren said with a disdainful expression on her face.
"I promise that... I'll be back and destroy you and all the demons!" Mariel tried to gather the remaining strength to speak out loud.
"If it's true, then do it now. Humans like you are nothing like a trash that must be killed by demons. You are worthless and deserve to be my slaves forever. Lol." Deren said with satisfaction.
Mariel's eyes stared at Derens with anger. If she survives or is reborn in this world again, she promises to come back and destroy all the demons like her wish.
"I'll see you soon!" Mariel said one last time before she lost the strength to utter another word.
"Die!" Deren said as she raised her right hand with five sharp claws and aimed it at the center of Mariel's chest, preparing to kill her.

The voice that came out was not from Mariel, but it was the sound of Deren who was being hit by ice magic on her back with full force, causing serious injuries.
