On the first day in the school, the teachers were teaching basic subjects. Each of the seven students introduced themselves, which allowed Mariel to meet new friends among the girls, including Syndra, Claire, Shiki, Glory, Minnastra, and Tiara.
Mariel was quite intimate to Syndra. (Girl with long golden hair) and Claire (Girl with light green ponytail) because they all sat in the front row. The other four students were Shiki (Girl with short black hair), Glory (a girl with light brown, long hair), Minnastra (a girl with long, dark brown hair), and Tiara (a girl with frizzy black hair) sat in the back row. Everyone often competed to answer each question when their teacher asked; Some answers were right, some answers were wrong, they felt joyful in a class.
As for Mariel, if she was chosen to answer a question, she would always answer correctly because she had read a lot of books to prepare. She also practiced Mathematics before, so it made everything seem easy for her.
Whether it's mathematics, history, Intermediate Kale language including science. Mariel was able to pass the test with ease. For the craft subject, teachers had equipment which was plenty of materials on each person's workbench.
It allowed students to put in their full ideas on what to create. Some people made dolls, some made picture frames decorated with many small gems, some made small magic wands and others made healing magic wands which indicated what career they would go in the future. Mariel was more unusual than anyone else. She chose to make a plastic sword which caused others to turn and looked at it at the same time.
"You want to be a swordsman? Mariel" Claire asked curiously when she saw Mariel with a smile on the sword in her hand.
"Yes, I really dream of being a famous swordswoman." Mariel responded.
"That's nice! Not many women wanted to be swordswomen because we had always been taught that women were not suitable for swordswomen or sword-shield female warriors. That's why most of women preferred of wizards and healers." Syndra said with excitement.
"In the future, if we joined together as a team. How about Mariel being the swordswoman standing in front of us?" Tiara offered an idea.
The students laughed happily and talked like normal women do which quite allowed Mariel to experience new interactions with female friends.
(A group of girls would talk about general matters. It was not like the boys who focused on talking about cartoons, sports, or adventures. Being in a woman's body was quite good too because I would learn how to socialize with other girls at the same time. In the men's society, I had been through a lot.) (Chai thinking)
It's time for lunch break. A delicious lunch was brought from the large kitchen behind the school, it had to be transported and distributed to students in classrooms in every building. The sound of their stomach rumbling could be heard throughout the room. This indicated very well that the students were hungry now.
On each student's desk, food plates were completed with side dishes to give energy and vitamins. It had a hot, round loaf of bread. The aroma was very delicious. A corn soup, large pieces of grilled fish with sauce were served with hot rice. There was also a vegetable salad with sliced eggs. peeled fruit and a glass of orange juice, it would be another perfect lunch for students.
Mariel ate everything until it was all gone. The delicious taste of this food lunch made her feel overflowing with happiness. Girls' rooms eat quietly rather than boys' rooms where they chatter loudly while eating but there was nothing to worry about it. When everyone finished their lunch until they were full, they rested for a short time and then woke up to continue our afternoon activities together.
Teachers provided basic lifestyle guidelines based on the textbooks that students have prepared. As well as giving examples of different situations and suggesting several decision-making methods for resolving those situations.
The students would be asked to raise their hands to answer which one they agreed with more, as well as asking to know each other's opinions. The teacher taught in this way would make students grow up to be quality adults and did not just stick to textbooks because some situations which happened that they had learned are not taught but it required tact to solve problems on their own.
After finishing class teaching basic lifestyle guidelines, there would be additional lessons in art, sculpture, or learning about magic, which the students chose on their own. For example: Today they wanted to learn about drawing. Tomorrow, they would like to do clay sculpture, or another day would like to learn more basic magic. There would always be teachers who were ready to teach and took close care of them.
All the students enjoyed their first day at school very much. Like Mariel, she came to school on the first day was like fulfilling the childhood that she was missing from the past world. She met teachers who took care of her, met new friends who talked together or did activities together, which made her want to come to school every day even more.
In the evening, the fathers and mothers of all students came to pick up their sons and daughters together. Mariel and her friends introduced themselves to their other parents. Everyone got to know each other and then went back home with smiles on their faces.
Mariel really enjoyed her school life and told a lot of stories in the car while they were back at their house. Deric and Claudia were happy that their daughter was enjoying school life because it made them feel like they were back in their childhood. They chatted with happiness until finished dinner. Then they separated and went to the bedroom.
Mariel didn't forget to practice her textbooks in advance every day. Each textbook was opened pages at a time and important contents were marked. When memorizing, it would be easily remembered. When everything was finished, she would pack her bag and put out the fire from the large lantern and climb into bed to get ready to rest.
"School life was like this. It made me want to go to school every day." Mariel said before falling asleep from exhaustion with a smile.
Several weeks have passed since school started, all situations have remained the same. In the classroom, Mariel often had her grades accumulated ahead of the other girls. It was like being the outstanding student of classroom 1-2 and classroom 1-1 was Frederick who leaded others too.
Frederick was the boy who Mariel had met on the first day. He was the son of a rich man but didn't talk to many people. There were only two close friends from the same village as Frederick who's always played along with. In addition, he also had a habit of boasting, being assertive, and not listening to anyone. Sometimes male teachers had to instruct but Frederick not interested in listening, but it was undeniable that this child was a good learner, learned fast and be very smart.
One day After lunch break, while everyone was doing activities at the yard in front of the school. This school would clearly separate zones for students' 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd year. There were no students from all years participating together because it would be out of control, and it put too much of a burden on the teachers.
Mariel's group was sitting and talking about where they would study in the future. Some of them wanted to go to the same high magic school as Mariel. Some students planned to go to magic schools in other cities or preferred to return to take over work from their parents at home.
During that time, group of boys from classroom 1-1 were fighting with fire magic and water magic, while the male teacher tried to dissuade them from playing too forcefully.
"Take it!" Frederick shot a mid-level fire spell at his friends, but it caused the other students to rush away in shock.
Fireball magic was aimed at a girl in the Mariel group who is named Shiki. She was introducing the magic wand in her left hand to her friends.
"Be careful!" the male teacher warned, but it was too late. The fireball magic hit Shiki's left arm.
*Scream! *
A cry of pain from Chiki when her left hand was burned by a fireball, causing red marks all over her arm. A female teacher rushed over to check on the situation and immediately used healing magic to treat the wound for her student.
"It hurts." Shiki continued to cry out in pain from the burning wound on her arm.
"I would quickly take you to the infirmary. You could apply medicine to this burn and then use a bandage. It won't be long before it healed completely." the female teacher said.
"You guys, apologize to Shiki. It was too dangerous." A male teacher told a group of boys who ran to see the situation to quickly apologize to her.
"We were sorry. We really didn't mean to happen like this. We just playing." the other children apologized.
"What about you? Frederick" the male teacher asked because only one person remained silent and refused to say anything. He only stared at the girl with a cold expression.
"Why should I apologize? She can't dodge it by herself." Frederick said.
Everyone was silent for a moment...the atmosphere in that area was starting to get unusual.
"Why did you say this? Mister Frederick. Shiki got injured from your playing with others. According to this, you must apologize." the female teacher explained.
"Hurry up and took her to heal the wound. We continued playing. It was a waste of time." Frederick turned around while the other boys were following him to play with.
As for the male teacher, he couldn't say anything more than that because he was the only son of the famous family in another village. His father was a famous merchant who had great power in this area.
Mariel stood up and stared intently at Frederick with a disappointed twinkle in her eye.
"Just a word: I'm sorry, what's so difficult for you to said? " Mariel said out loud and it made everyone stunned.
"What did you say?" Frederick turned and stared at Mariel with a dissatisfied expression on his face.
"You won't apologize. There's nothing to do in your life. It's disgusting!" Mariel spoke even more provocatively.
Frederick was very angry; both his hands began to have fire magic flowing all around him. Mariel was also prepared too.
"Don't fight!" The teachers on both sides tried to tell them to stop and separated Frederick and Mariel.
"Leave me alone!" Frederick shouted at the male teacher who came to stop him.
"Don't worry, I can handle it. Teacher, please get the others to stay away from here." Mariel said with confidence.
As for the female teacher, she didn't sure about this, but she could only take the other students out of this area.
Frederick and Mariel stood staring at each other. No one on either side would give in to anyone. The power of the fire magic punch prepared to strike at the opponent.
"Take it!" Frederick said, slamming his fist of fire magic to Mariel.
"It's not that easy to deal with me." Mariel cast a wind magic skill and prepared to defend. In front of Mariel, a medium-sized fire magic punch prepared to hit full force but there was not any fear coming from Mariel. Her smile appeared.
"Windstorm!" Mariel shouted.
