After a long night of putting out fires that she did not start, Elle was overjoyed to look up and find her husband in the doorway. The long hug that came after was well worth it and Elle enjoyed every second of it. But then reality sank in as she pulled back.
Was he wearing his hearing aids? Slowly torturing himself by bombarding his ears with all of the outside noises? Stepping back, Elle pointed at her ears, and back at him.
Rather than his brow furrowing in slight pain, Gio just looked at her and smiled. Then he patted his shirt pocket and Elle noticed the tiny bump of a box there.
'Relax, I am sticking to our agreement. I took them off before I came to the club,' He told her and Elle instantly relaxed. He had mostly been sticking to wearing the hearing aids for a limited time, but that still did not stop her from worrying about him. She was his wife afterall, it was her job to worry about him. If she did not do it, who would?
