As soon as he stepped into the portal, he was blinded momentarily. A while later his sight returned revealing a hospital room. In the bed he could see his comatose body looking worse than when he had first been summoned.
None of this surprised him. Everyone's assumption of hero summons was that you would completely disappear from where ever you were being summoned. The actual truth was that only the soul would be summoned and the body left in a comatose state. Adam remembers how when he had first heard about this, he concluded it to be the cause of all the random comas that people slipped in. He even remembers giggling at the thought of his Uncle Rasco being a hero.
So besides his body was the figure of his mom with her head rested on his chest. She looked pale and gave off an unhealthy glow. Adam's heart twisted in pain, sadness and guilt at her state. After all this was his fault. If only he hadn't been selfish and stayed. Sighing he walked up to her, planted a ghostly kiss on her cheek and settled into his body.
A while later Sandra raised her head and looked at her son with a ghost of a smile on her face and eyes radiating joy. ' You've finally come back.' she thought before drifting off back to sleep tired from overdrawing her powers.

Groggily, Adam opened his eyes. Looking around he could that he was in a hospital room with his mom sleeping on his chest."What happened? The last thing I remember was Seth beating...aghuk!"he suddenly groaned and a thin line of blood came trickling out of his mouth.
With a pained expression he clutched his head as he gave out several other groans and a couple of grunts that made the trinkle of blood blood coming from his mouth become bigger.
Memories of him as the Hero of Scalia ran through his mind displaying themselves as pictures amidst brief flashes of light. It was confusing and disorienting but yet he was somehow able to piece it all together.
From the moment of his summoning to the continent Scalia to the point where he completed his mission, the reason for his summoning, and came back to Earth. Induction into the Awakened Academy, training to become the hero that Scalians hoped to save them from the demons, making friends and enemies along with having to keep the girls an arms distance away as he would eventually leave, the adventures he went on and the close calls he had, the small victory celebrations and times of grief when his friends would die in battle or trying to protect him....
Multiple scenes flashed through his mind making him reminisce and feel melancholic. At the end of it all relief and joy that he was back home to Earth set in. Back to his mum, his dad, his sister and to the totally normal introvert teenage life he once had.
His groans and grunts woke up his mother who upon seeing the blood coming out of his mouth began calling for the doctors while clutching his hands. Due to the state he was in he failed to notice the green vitality filled strands of energy that travelled from his mother and into him aiding with the settling in of his now abnormally strong soul.

Seconds after her screaming, the doctor and two nurses who had been working on her son came into the room rushing. On seeing her son's state, they shot him with something that seemed to calm him down and the nurses moved to push her out of the room telling her that they had some tests to run on Adam to make sure he was fine. Sighing Sandra backed away as the green strands of vitality filled energy retreated back into her. 'Adam, my son please wake up soon'she thought as she cast one last look at his comatose body before she turned and walked out of the room leaving the doctors to their work.
Several twisted turns later, Sandra arrived at the hospital director, Dr. Vendrastra's office. Entering without knocking she sat opposite to the doctor and a staring match would have began between them but as soon as Vendrastra stared into Sandra's eyes, she looked away.
With an oppressed vibe,"I've done my part. Now time to fulfill yours."she said in a way that seemed like she expected Sandra to refuse to honour their deal. Staring at her Sandra sighed exasperated"Don't worry. I'm not one to go back on my word."she said before vanishing in a puff of green mist leaving Vendrastra with a stupefied expression which gradually morphed into into one of excitement and joy. After all anyone would understand her joy and sense of accomplishment as she had just managed to get the most powerful Life affinity Awakener on Earth.
Standing up from her seat she ran out to inform the rest of the hospital stuff to prepare.

Sandra reappeared at home. It was your average modern suburban house with a gray and white colouring with a not so extensive front yard but an extremely large back yard where she did alot of gardening in her spare time when she wasn't taking care of the kids.
She barged into her husband's study and found him cultivating. Without even bothering about his icy aura, just his looks alone were enough to let one know that he was an Ice Awakener.
He had long white hair and icy blue eyes that made one freeze just by being gazed upon by them. His entire presence gave off a feeling of 'if you disturb me right now, I will...'
But sadly Sandra wasn't threatened by his aura at all. Infact she walked behind him and proceeded to land a kick with a force that could have destroyed the house on his ass.
William groaned."Seriously Sand did you have to do that" he said while caressing his not so hurting ass but pretended that it did pain. Sandra, seeing through his act, scoffed and said,"You think I don't know that you've achieved considerable accomplishment with the Indestructible Ice Art? Come on Adam will wake up soon". With that she turned and left.
'Shit! She saw through me.'he thought. Seeing that his act had been seen through, William smiled and ran up to his tigeress wife."Honey~"he said in a sweet tone."Aren't you going to congratulate me?"
"Hmph! As if you gaining some minor accomplishment is anything worth my recognition. Come on let's go and wait for Adam. Evelyn can bring herself back home" With that Sandra disappeared again in a green puff of mist. Shortly after William followed in a bright flash of icy light.
