[Uri Vvirian – Current age: 11]
In front of the Uri, there was a two golems. One was a doll made out of the wood with the metal joints sticking out and was holding an axe and the shield.
The second golem that stood in the opposite direction to the first one was a golem made out of the dirt with hulking appearance.
"Begin the test." – said Uri.
The two golems beginned fighting with each other as soon. The dirt golem slammed his fists around while dodging and blocking some of the attacks with the shield or with the axe.
The puppet wasn't the only one the defense, it also attacked the with his axe or sometimes smashed the golem with his shield.
After some time, the one who emerged victories was the puppet golem with the axe and the shield.
"Okay. Shut down."
The puppet golem got on its knees and stopped moving.
"Hm…. The reaction time was way better than before after the structure was modified by a little bit, but the opponent wasn't that fast in the first place. Maybe I should make a copy and have both of them fight each other." – said Uri while writing something in the book.

(Well, I prepared as much as possible. I manage to level up as much as possible thanks to my training and I researched and improved my golems as much as possible. I didn't really leveled up a lot because all I did was from training, but from what I know. I can pick my occupation at level 25, so it's not that far off.)
"Let's hope that will do."
(I can probably train for another few years, but I lack any experience in the battle. I never fought anybody to the death or anything. I sometimes did fought against my golems, but never against the real monster.)
(I don't know if I can handle them or my golems, but I need the battle experience and see how well my golems can work in the REAL fight.)
(I can experiment all I and theorize but without a real combat, I will be stuck in the same point. On top of that I badly need a class. From what I know classes can help the person grow stronger in the specific areas. On top of that I still need to become stronger myself and gain the real battle experience.)
(And the best to do that is by getting into the adventure guild.)
(I was planning on training bit more for a year or two, but my research was has a serious problem because of the lack of real combat. So, it's more like I don't have any choice right now.)
"Well then. I guess I should prepare myself."
[The next day.]
"Okay…. The guy I asked from the store said that it should be around here…...!"
"There."
Uri walked towards the building with the signboard with "Adventure Guild" written on it.
While Uri was approaching the doors, suddenly somebody opened it and walked out of the guild.
"?"
"Eh?"
"…...The fuck you are doing here?" – said Iris and Uri while looking at each other.
Uri and Iris meet each other right in front of the adventure guild.
[Iris Necrohearth - Current age: 12]
"I'm here today to register myself as the adventure. That should be obviously and you already knew I was going for it. What are YOU doing here Iris?" – asked Uri with very confused look.
"Well…. I decided to become adventurer as well? In fact, I just finished doing my exam and I'm an official adventurer. Look, I even got a license." – said Iris while showing her adventure license.
"…. What?" – said Uri with confused look.
"I said that I- "
"I heard what you said, but why the heck you want to become an adventure. I have my own good and solid reason to became an adventure. But I don't think you do? Or is there one?"
"…. Em...L-Look! I will tell you later. Okay?" – said Iris before leaving the area.
"?"
"Okay?" – said Uri with confused look.
(She is acting a bit weird. I wonder what the heck is going on.)
(Anyway, let's get inside.)
Uri entered the adventure guild.
"…" – Uri looked around.
(Huh…. I though the place would be rowdier?)
(There is still lot of people here, some are talking while some are drinking, but its relatively peaceful here. There is even a bar here and people are eating.)
(Maybe because this is adventure guild located in the capital city?)
(Just in case I didn't wear any noble man clothes or anything but an equipment.)
Uri was dressed with a simple shirt with simple leather chest armor as well as a pair of gloves with the strange patterns on it and the one handed axe on his belt.
(Anyway, where do I register?)
Uri looked around until he spots a counter in the middle with the lady writing. Uri approached the counter.
"…Excuse me. Do you have a moment?" – asked Uri.
"Hm? Yes?" – responded the lady behind the counter.
"I want to register as the adventure."
"Oh. Then please wait a moment."
"…."
"Okay. Allow me to explain few things first."
"To register as the adventure, you need to fill out some documents, if you can't write I can do that for you. The second thing is the exam. You will be given 5 G rank quest to complete within 2 weeks period. If you fail, you will not be able to take up the exam for the 2 weeks."
"Remember. The adventure job isn't as easy as it may seems to many and you can easily get hurt or die. Do you truly wish to continue?"
"Yes." – replied Uri.
"Okay then. Any questions?"
"Em. Do I pay something?"
"No. The adventure has to take fully care of themselves. Their equipment as well as their health. We don't provide the people with the free weapons or armors so you have take care of it yourself. Unless the special circumstances occurs."
"I see, but what would happened if for example the quest I would take would be much more difficult than it was said it would be? Do I get still the same reward or I will be compensated?"
"It depends, however usually in those cases you would be compensated or you can talk with this over the client."
"I see. Anyway, I have to fill this up, yes? I can write on my own." – said Uri while taking the piece of paper and pen from a lady.
"…."
"Here." – said Uri while giving back the paper and pen.
"…. It seems everything is fine. Now a real work. Please wait."
"…...Here are some quest that are categorized as the G rank quests. G quests are relative safe, but that doesn't mean you can't get hurt or worse."
Uri picked the few sheets of paper laying in front of him with the quest's details written on them.
"Hm…. Excuse me. Is it possible to take few quests on at the same time? And is there anything like a time limit?"
"Well, you are allowed to take multiple quest at the same time and yes, some quests do indeed possess time limit. However, only some quests have time limit, like for example delivery of the item or when the quest giver wants to have the adventure complete the quest as fast as possible. Usually, the quest with the time limit needs to offer the extra payment."
"Okay…...I will take this 3 and…... this and this."
"Understand. You can take this papers with you. Remember to bring back the prof, if you don't bring it then you will be not paid and it will not count towards completing your exam. You also need to bring the proof to this guild and no other one." – said the lady.
"Is there else I should know before I head out?" – asked Uri.
"No, but if you any questions regarding the adventure work then ask me freely."
"…."
"Then can I ask you something? From what I can see, there isn't many people the same age as me, is it normal for a child like me to become an adventure?"
"Hm… Well, we are usually not asking about the person background unless is necessary. It doesn't matter if the person is adult or a child, as long as they are more than 10 years old, they can become an adventure. Hower, a young children do indeed sometimes become an adventure. Most of them don't stay in the adventure guild."
"Sometimes people became adventure at the young age and still are even after growing up. So, seeing child signing up to be adventure isn't really that uncommon."
"I see."
(I though they would be trying to convince me or something to not try and be an adventure. Well, she did warned me that I can get hurt or die, but afterwords she didn't try to convince me or anything. By any chance she knew that I didn't stop? Huh, it must have been very common occurrence by the look of things.) – though Uri while walking towards the exit.
(Anyway, I should get going. I want to test out my golems as soon as possible.)
Uri left the adventure guild and after some he left the city though the western gate.
It didn't took long for the Uri to arrive at the grass fields after leaving the city.
"…. Huh." – said Uri while looking around.
"It feels…. Weird."
(I spend almost my entire life in that city.)
(I only left the city to attend some parties when my parents.)
(Honestly, its nice change.)
(Anyway, I'm already quiet far away from the city gate and the quest area should be nearby. I should get to it.)
[Quest: Lil Blue Slime Subjectivation]
[Quest Rank: G]
[Quest Type: Subjection]
[Quests description: On the western site outside of the city located in the grass field. The slimes were seen near the road around 3-10 kilometers away from the city.]
[Slimes will die when their body lose too much goo or when their core is destroyed. Monster goo possess acid effect but not very strong, only too long exposure to it can leave damage.]
[Slay at least 10 lil blue slimes. Bring the cores of the slimes as the proof of subjection.]
[Reward: 5 bronze coins for each slime core.]
(Lil blue slimes huh? Hmm…... Using golems is quite wasteful. Well, I guess I can test my magic in combat. Anyway, it seems the locations should be around here.)
Uri looked around and saw some kids fighting something.
(Huh, there are some people there. I don't see what exactly they are fighting from here, but I guess they are fighting slimes.)
"…"
(There are few people there and another group there. There a bit of people here, but none of them are very close to the road. Should I move further away from it?)
Uri beginned walking away from the main road.
"…."
"!"
"Found one."
Uri looked on the ground and saw a blue transparent goo with a small gem inside of it.
(It looks the same as the one from the quest post.)
(It doesn't seem to be interested in me or anything. I think its also eating a grass very slowly. It's very small and look like a toy.)
"Well, the guild want to get rid of them, so they must be harmful or something. [Stone Bullet]."
Uri used his magic and shot the stone like a bullet straight at the slime, hitting the core and killing the slime.
"Huh. [Stone Bullet] was all it took?"
Uri kneeled near the dead slime and took out the two pieces of the broken slime core.
"I don't feel anything even after touching that goo. So, picking the pieces should be really hard."
"…"
(There is another one here.)
"[Earth Shot]."
Uri summoned a rock like object and shot it at the slime and killing it.
(Even [Earth Shot] can kill it? [Stone Bullet] is upgraded version of the [Earth Shot], but it even couldn't survive the weaker spell as well?)
(What about the physical attacks?)
Uri took out the one handed axe he was caring and approached the slime nearby and attacking it and killing it as well.
"This as well? I didn't even hit that hard."
(Huh. Well, this is G rank quest, so I shouldn't have expected anything big.)
"I guess even using magic will be wasteful. Let's get it over with."
It didn't took long for me to complete the quest regarding the slimes. Honestly it only took few minutes.
After that I went to the forest nearby and gather some materials regarding the three other quest and finished them as well.
The fifth quest was about killing some bugs that weren't really a deal or anything.
I kind of completed them all without real any effort really. It only took few minutes to complete them all.
But…...Well. Aren't those G rank quest more like odd jobs that can earn a little bit of the pocket cash?
Anyway, I got back to the adventure guild and binged the proofs with me.
"I confirmed all the materials. Congratulation you have completed your adventurer guild exam." – said the lady the Uri spoke with before.
(Really? That is really all? I didn't even had need to use magic or my golems. Is becoming an adventure really that EASY?)
"Well then. Please wait a moment."
The adventure guild worker moved away from the desk and walked towards the shelf behind her. After picking few things from the drawer, the woman returned back to the desk.
"Well then, please write fill this paper and please use this needle here and stab yourself with it."
"Stab myself? You want my blood?" – asked Uri.
"Yes. The needle here will suck some of your blood as well as mana. After you stabbed yourself, please press that small button here and hold it until this part here is full. It's the best to stab your self in the finger. If you like I can help you with that."
"No worry. I think I will manage."
(Anyway, I didn't expected that. I heard that they needed my blood or something from the rumors, but I wasn't expecting this.)
Uri filled out the papers given to him and then picked up the needle like device and stabbed himself in the finger and procced according to the instructions given to him by the lady. Afterwords he gave back the needle device as well as documents.
The adventure guild worker took device as well as the documents before leaving though the door near her.
After sometime passed the guild worker returned back.
"Sorry for the delay. Here. This is your adventure license. As of right now you are an official G rank adventure."
Adventure guild worker handed the card like object to the Uri.
(Huh. I wonder what this thing is made out of? It doesn't look like a paper, it looks like metal but doesn't really weights much or feels like one when touching it.) – though Uri while inspecting the card.
"Please be aware that you will be held responsible if the card is lost or was destroyed. You will have to compensation cost. Also, you are currently the G rank adventure, meaning if you don't complete any quests for a month after your last quest, your adventure license will be suspended."
"If either of those two cases happened and if the adventure is a G rank, then they will need to take retake the exam."
"Well then. Please let me explain few things."
"Since now you posses your adventurer license, you are allowed to take the quests from the quests board over there or ask me or other staff member near the desk for the help."
"You are allowed to take quest of the same rank as your current adventure rank as well as ranks below and you are allowed to take on the quests of the one rank higher than your current rank. However, if you wish to take a rank one higher than your own, you need to consult this with the adventure guild worker beforehand."
"The quests gives you a points, if you manage to accumulate enough points, you will be allowed to take part in the exam and after completing it your rank will be increased. You can also receive points via monster hunting. Simply put, if you hunt any monsters that pose threat, you can hunt them down and bring the proof of your hunt to us. The guild can also buy some monsters corpse or materials you harvested from the monsters in exchange of money."
"If you don't have any other questions that this is all. You can start working right now or later, but you need to complete at least one G rank quest within spawn of the week after receiving the license."
"Thank you. I don't have any other questions."
(Huh. That was surprisingly easy. On top of that she explained everything I needed to know. From the looks of things G rank adventure can barely make a living and I won't probably have any real action until I increase my rank. Heck. Even the stuff I did couldn't be called a real experience in battle or anything, but I did manage to level up once at least.)
(Well, I do have consider that when dealing with the higher ranked quest the stakes are much higher. Bigger risk means bigger rewards. Its easy to become an adventure but becoming a real one is a different thing by the look of things.)
(I should probably increases my rank as soon as possible if I want to test out my golems and continue my research and grew stronger.)
Uri left the adventure guild moments later.
"Now then. Care to explain yourself now Iris?" – said Uri to the Iris that was standing near the door.
