[1 day later after remembering the memories of my previous life.]
Rgith now, my current goal is to get stronger just in case anything unexpected happens in my life.
Well, there is nothing I can do much as of right now. I'm a 6 years old boy as of right now.
In this world, there do exist concept of level just like in game and like in some novels as well as comics.
Simple put, leveling up makes you stronger if somebody is wondering.
To level up you need to either, kill something like a monster, train and develop your body and stats or for example do a work like farming and harvesting, making stuff and all lot of different stuff. There is many different ways to level up.
It may seem at first that leveling up is everything, but its not. Simple put, a high level human could be still weaker than a low level human. It maybe because a low level one developed his stats by training vigilantly or it maybe they were able to learn spell or a skill.
My parents and probably none of my servants would let me hunt any monsters, even the G rank ones.
The only think I can do is to train and learn.
Vvirian family specializes in the earth magic and since I was born in that family, I was born with an element affinity towards earth.
Before you can use any element magic, you need to acquire an element affinity for example via training or some other methods. People usually within born element affinity can sometimes grow stronger much faster in the specific area compare to the others that weren't born with the element affinity.
Honestly speaking, it's a good idea to focus on making my earth affinity. By making your element affinity stronger, your powers over the specific elemental affinity will increases.
[Higher affinity for the element = better magic power output.]
For now, I think I should focus on making my affinity towards earth magic stronger and see how it goes. Learning different elements indeed does have it uses, but obviously learning multiple elements kind of slows the grow of each other.
I don't have trouble with using spells or writing and reading the letters of this world, thanks to being born in it. Thanks to that, I can try and learn stuff from the books. Specifically saying the spell books.
Our family library does indeed posses some earth magic related spells books that I can use for learning new spells and improve my earth affinity.
It wasn't that hard to get permission to get some of these books, being the noble does have its benefits by the look of things.
But its kind does feels weird. With everybody around me showing a respect and bowing their heads. Normally I was one who was doing that in my previous life. Its…. Quite weird for me.
(Anyway, now that I got the books, it's time to learn)
"…"
"….."
"Huh…. I was expecting this, but to find it out so soon?" – said the boy while reading the book.
In the world of the "Unwritten Tale", you can learn or create your own spells. In the book I found, there were spells that I don't think were even in the novel or in the game. I can be wrong, since there was a lot of that spells, but I don't remember any of the spells name I see in the book.
(I don't really know if they are good or not, but it should a worth testing them out. There is also a book that contains all basic spells and basic earth element spells. Pretty much a stuff that I need right now.)
(This is a surprisingly a good start? I was not expecting that at all. Maybe I was bit LUCKY when I reincarnated as Uri.)
(But the other matter is learning and mastering them. Training in magic does use mana and even if I have some extra mana now thanks to the mana overcharge syndrome, I'm still a child, meaning my mana reserves aren't that big. So, I can't train for a long.)
"Well, it's better than, nothing."
The boy left the library with the few books and headed towards the training grounds.
"Okay…. Let's see. Let's start with basics."
Learning magic is bit unique per say. At first you need to learn how to cast the spell and then master it. When you fully master how the mana and the spell operates, the spell will be engraving onto your astral body. That means your astral body would remember the spell it self, even if you forget it yourself.
(…. I kind of don't get, but I kind of do? It was written that way in the novel. Well, maybe I will get it after expiring myself?)
"[Earth shot]."
The magic circle appear in front of the boy palm and the rock like object was shot from it and hit the dummy wearing an armor.
(Since I don't have lot of mana right now, I should focus only on the beginner spells. Based on the book, they don't take really long master, it may even not take a day.)
Pretty much for entire day I was just learning the basic spells as much as I could. The next day was the same, I couldn't get out of from the mansion since I was forbitten from leaving because of mana overcharge syndrome.
The third day, is when the change happened.
"Young master Uri. Your father has just returned." – said Allie.
"Oh. Really? Where is he right now?" – asked the boy.
"He should be still at the front entrance if you hurry." – replied the maid.
The young boy fallowed the maid from the training room, to the front entrance of the mansion.
While approaching the entrance of the mansion, from afar the boy could spot a pair of knights and the giant muscular man.
"Dad!" – shouted the boy while running towards the entrance.
"Hm? Oh, hello there Uri." – said the muscular bald man with the mustache.
[Phan Vvirian – The current head of the Vvirian house.]
"Sorry little buddy for running off suddenly when I promised you to teach you magic. Some monsters were running amok and I needed to take care of them." – said the muscular man while hugging the boy that came running towards him.
"DA-D. ST-OP. CAN'T. BREA-TH!" – the child tried to say something while tabbing the muscular shoulder.
"Dear. Please let go of Uri before you kill him." – said madam Upira.
"What? Ah! Sorry!" – said the muscular man while quickly letting go of the child.
"For crying out loud. This isn't the first time you almost killed Uri with your hugs." – said madam Upira.
"I said I'm sorry."
"Then if you are sorry, stop trying to kill your own son with your hugs every time!"
"Em…." – the man tried looking away from his wife.
"Phan Vvirian. Don't you dare look away from me."
"Son. I know this idiot promised you to teach magic today, but please wait patiently. He and I have to talk about something."
The boy's father and mother entered the mansion and left the boy alone.
"Is it me or mom seems angrier than usually?" – asked the boy.
"Well, this is because master Phan just ran away and wanted to fight some monsters. He wasn't originally supposed to go with us, but he was bored and we couldn't stop him." – said one of the knights.
"But honestly speaking, it maybe was a good thing that he came. The number of the monsters was higher than was reported. So maybe madam won't be mad for long after he explain himself." – said other knight.
"Anyway, we will be going now. See you later young master."
The pair of guards left the area with the carriage.
"Em…... What do we do?" – asked the boy after being left alone with his maid.
"Well, you probably won't be able to meet the master for some time, so maybe continue your training?" – proposed the maid.
"Em…. I think I will do?"
Sometimes later.
"[Earth Arrow]!"
The boy created 2 arrows made out of the earth using his magic and shot both of them at the targets in front of him, with one of the arrows hitting the target and other one completely missing.
(I can make two arrows now, but I still need some practice with aiming.)
"I see you are working hard son."
"Hm? Dad? EKH?!"
The boy turned around after hearing his father voice and what he saw was something he was expecting.
"Em… Dad? Did mom beat you up?"
The man face was covered in the bandages to the point it was hard to even recognize him.
"Yes."
(Wow. He just said that with straight face. I guess I should never piss off mom or I will end up like him.)
"Anyway, I heard that you recently started training magic and all. Is it because I couldn't teach you magic?"
"Well, honestly speaking, I wanted to get stronger so I may became an adventurer like you did dad."
(Dad once told was originally an B rank adventurer before retiring as adventurer and becoming a knight. After that he went and beat up my grandpa and married my mother. Apparently, grandpa was overprotective and he didn't wanted my father to marry my mom.)
(Well, he will obviously be suspicious if your son suddenly wanted to become stronger for unknown reason, so its better to tell him the truth. Well, kind of. I'm telling him only bit of truth.)
"Huh. I see. Honestly speaking. I wasn't expecting you wanting to became adventurer. Weren't you interested in enrolling into Geschichte academe?"
[Geschichte Academe]
[It's a school specially made for a mages to develop themselves. Its one of the places where one story arc of the "Unwritten Tale" took place. The academy is located in the Ahj Kingdom that is located right next to us, specifically on the north.]
"Truth to be told. I kind want to explore around the world and not just sit in one place all my life. I want to grow stronger and see what this world has to offer." – replied the boy.
"Well, did you talked with your mother about this?" – asked the father.
"Yes, and she seemed okay. If anything, I think she was kind of relief for some reason?"
"No wonder that she seemed that way. She went and studied there for few years and she really didn't liked her time in there. She doesn't really like to talk about her time in that academy."
(Well, no wonder really. In the story of academy in the "Unwritten Tale" is like that: it was once one of the best magic teaching school, but after many years it kind of got, well…... It went completely shitty.)
(That place wanted to stick to their original teaching and did not wanted to develop at. They just wanted to stay in the shadows of their former glory and they wanted to forced everybody that attended their academy to believe in their view. Pretty much, the academy is probably right now worst places to learn magic.)
(The head of the academe was a very annoying character in the novel that even tried to kill the main character companion that dropped from academy, after she beat the academy best student in the public match. I think I would rather became a bandit than go that shit hole.)
(Hm?)
(Wait. Now I think about it. Maybe the reason why Uri had so shitty personally in the first place, was because the academy? It wasn't mention in the novel, but maybe he did went to the academy. I originally wanted to go to the academy before I regained my memories. It may be possible really.)
(It could also explain why he sucked in combat against the MC.)
(Huh. I wasn't expecting to find out this kind of information.)
"However, son, you do need to remember that. The path of the adventurer isn't the easy one and- "
"That I can die. I know that adventures isn't easy job, but I already set on becoming one." – said the boy while smiling.
"…. I see. Your choice. But if you like you can always change your goal. You are still young so you maybe don't know what you really want to do."
"Anyway, remember that I said I will teach you today? Em… Yea. I kind of need to make your mom happy right now. So…... We will to do it tomorrow."
"Oh. Okay."
"!"
Suddenly, the air got thicker and both the son and the father could felt an immense bloodlust, coming towards the training grounds.
"Phan Vvirian. We are not done talking." – said the mother while the knights nearby turned their gaze away from her.
"W-well. I-I- "
Before the father could say anything, the mother grabbed throat and beginned dragging him away.
"Son. Please don't mind us and continue your training."
The mother dragged away from father the training grounds.
"…."
"Well, I think father is dead."
