Chapter 116 - Hundred and fifteen. I have fallen for you

Hundred and fifteen. I have fallen for you

Little Noel didn't care to listen to what Elijah had to say. He bade Ezekiel goodnight and began walking upstairs to his room. He didn't even spare his uncle a glance.

It was just the two men standing and facing each other squarely. Elena was the audience of the show as she remained on the stairs, looking at the tension that was rising between the two men.

"So, what's your plan now Don? You want to use Noel against me? That won't happen" Elijah fought.

"Well, you're not the one to say which. He's already against you. He hates you now" Ezekiel said with a smirk.

"You!" Elijah almost bit his tongue.

"Monalissa is someone your nephew adores and someone who saved him. How can you turn him into an ingrate to satisfy your evil desires?" Ezekiel berated. His voice was deep and menacing. He was holding back from hitting this man in front of him thanks to what Monalissa had told him. He had to wait for her.

"Watch your words Ezekiel!" Elijah warned.

"You won't do anything because you can't. You might've won this time, but I will make sure you don't win again. Do yourself good and bask in the glory of this one. There won't be a next time" Ezekiel said. He eyed Elijah and walked out of the house.

Elijah clenched his fists in anger. He took in a deep breath and decided to head to his study. And just like that, the dinner was cancelled.

He turned around to leave only to see that Elena was still standing there, staring at him with an indescribable gaze.

"You're still here?" Elijah asked.

"I thought you loved her" she said, "why would you hurt her?"

"The child is Ezekiel's. That's my way of teaching him a lesson" Elijah explained.

"How did you know? What if it's yours?" Elena asked.

Elijah chuckled dryly and took short steps towards the stairs. He stood at the foot and looked up at the woman who was also looking at him. "Elena, it can never be mine. I have never touched her. I only longed for her".

"What if it's not Ezekiel's too?" Elena questioned.

"It doesn't matter. As long as Ezekiel is pained" Elijah said.

"However, it was wrong of you to drag Noel into this. You were never going to let him know" Elena reminded him.

"I was drowning. The Alpha Realm was riding on my failure. They already took you. And Alvin as well. What should I have done?"

Elena didn't say anything again and turned on her heels to go upstairs.

"Elena, why are you ignoring me?" Elijah asked. There was sadness in his voice.

Elena swallowed. 'Why was she ignoring him? What did he do? She was just jealous'

"I don't want to be in your space anymore. That will be more professional" Elena managed a reply.

"I'm your boss. And you must do what I tell you" Elijah warned.

"I know that. And I'm willing to do anything you ask of me boss, except quenching your sexual thirsts" she stated. Without waiting for him to say any other thing, she went upstairs.

Elijah watched her departing back, his unhappiness swirling within him.

Ezekiel returned to the gardens after dropping Little Noel off at Elijah's villa. He didn't bother with anyone and went straight to where Monalissa was laid. The anaesthesia had worn off and she was already seated on the bed, sipping the warm porridge that Madam Angela had prepared for her.

"Walker" he called her and went forward to sit beside her. Monalissa was already looking at him the moment he walked in.

"You're here" she said.

He nodded and took the porridge from her. "I'm sorry you're alone here" he said.

"That's alright. Madam Angela just left some minutes ago. It hasn't been long. And moreover, you're here now. That's enough" she said.

Ezekiel stirred the porridge and scooped a leveled spoonful. He brought it to her lips and she smiled.

"What? Open up" he said.

Monalissa chuckled and opened her mouth. He looked very cute, holding that spoon to her mouth. Probably this was his first time, she thought.

Monalissa opened her mouth and took the porridge he was feeding her.

"Does it still hurt? Has the pain reduced at all?" he asked, his face filled with worry. It was as though he was the one hurt and not Monalissa.

"A little" she replied.

Ezekiel fed her one more spoon of the porridge before dropping it on the bedside table. He took her hands in his.

"Walker, I'm really sorry that I failed you. I should have been more careful" he apologized.

Monalissa looked at him, her eyes filled with nothing but surprise. She had never imagined this man in this version.

"Master...you don't need to apologize. It's not your fault at all that this happened. If there's someone to be blamed, that would be Elijah. I just let down my guard" she said, the last line coming out with a tint of disappointment.

"The boy feels guilty. He really hates himself now" Ezekiel said.

"That's all thanks to Elijah. Could you let him come over tomorrow? I mean Noel?" Monalissa asked.

Ezekiel chewed hard on his molars. "Okay. But this time, you will be heavily guarded" Ezekiel said.

"No master. That's a lot. It will scare the little boy" Monalissa pointed out.

"Well...then should I stay around? I could actually do that all day" he said, and pulled her tressed behind her ear.

"That's not an option too master. The report should be ready by tomorrow. Also, there are things to be done at the Realm" Monalissa said.

"Then...you don't want anyone to guard you?"

"I can do that myself. Besides, there's nothing to protect anymore" she said with misty eyes. The sight of her like this broke Ezekiel's heart and he couldn't do nothing about it.

"I will give Elijah a taste of his own medicine" he said.

"What will you do?" Monalissa asked.

"There will be a bloodbath in the soul-sucking org tonight and Madam Pia will be kidnapped" he said.

Monalissa nodded. "But will that pain him enough? He killed our child Ezekiel!"

'Our child' Ezekiel replayed in his mind.

"Elena is not on the same standing with him as I saw and his nephew doesn't want to talk to him anymore... As a man, I can feel that he cares a lot about Elena. But she seems to be out of the game...that could be a lot of stress and distraction for him" Ezekiel said.

Monalissa nodded. "But master, do you think that's enough?"

Ezekiel looked at Monalissa. Her sunny eyes were filled with gloom and sadness. She had just lost her child and she wants nothing but the perfect revenge.

"What do you want to do?" Ezekiel asked.

"Burn down his organization and everything in it" Monalissa stated.

Ezekiel was awed. This was the real Walker...the dangerous one was finally coming out.

"Is that what you want?" Ezekiel asked.

"Yes" she replied, looking at him.

"Stress no more baby, because that's what I'm going to do for you" he said.

"Really? You're going to do it?" she asked. She was really surprised that Ezekiel was going to go that far for her. Burning down the soul-sucking org was something huge and could have dire consequences. But he was going to do it?

"Aren't you going to think about it at all?" she asked as though to confirm what he had said.

"No, I won't. Why should I think about it?" he asked her back.

"Because... I don't actually think I'm qualified for you to do things like that for me. Or is it because you said I'm Lily? What if I wasn't? What if I was really Monalissa and not Lilian?" Monalissa asked. She couldn't explain the reason she was asking him all these, maybe it was also the effect of her miscarriage.

Ezekiel looked at her for a while. Taking her pale face in his sturdy hands, he leaned forward and placed a soft kiss on her lips. Looking into her eyes, he said,

"Walker, I don't care who you are. I fell for Lily but then I fell harder for Monalissa. Whether you're Lily or Monalissa, I will go to the end of the earth for you because I have fallen for you. Not Monalissa, not Lily but, who you are" Ezekiel confessed. He didn't expect to say all that but he did.

Monalissa could hear the sound of explosives going off in her head. Was he confessing his love for her? She didn't know what to say.

"And I know that you sometimes don't know the lengths that I could go to for you but you will see them... I won't let you get hurt again. No one deserves to hurt you... no one has the right..."

"Except you?" Monalissa cut him off.

Ezekiel chuckled deeply earning a smile from her. He stroked her chin gently his gaze caging a passionate desire within "I don't even have that right" he replied.

Monalissa was awed to her marrows. Was she dreaming or something? Someone needed to wake her up!

"And tonight, I will take Madam Pia away from the soul-sucking org's abode and raze it down" Ezekiel declared.

"After I recover, can I see Kayla and Arianna? Don't you think it's time to let them out? They've been in there for too long"

"They will stay there till they repent" Ezekiel maintained.

"What of Arianna's parents? Aren't they looking for her?" Monalissa asked.

"Worry not Walker, I have everything under control" he said with a smirk.
