Hundred and nine. A trap
Doctor Maya was kidnapped.
Ezekiel sat where he was and remained silent. His face was calm but cold.
"Boss, should we take action?" Kim asked, a bit anxious for the doctor. She couldn't be caught in the middle of their feud with the soul-sucking org. She was innocent.
"How are those two underlings of his, doing?" Ezekiel asked, ignoring Kim's question.
"They're still tied up in the dark room" he said.
Ezekiel nodded. "Good. Set up a teleconferencing with Elijah. He just wants his underlings back" he said.
"Yes Boss. However, what if it doesn't look as easy as it seems?" Kim was really worried. That woman was a doctor. Should anything happen to her, they couldn't actually make up for it.
"Ready the men. Secretly surround the soul-sucking org from a distance. That way, he will behave" Ezekiel instructed.
"Yes Boss" Kim answered.
"Also, don't let Monalissa hear about this" he warned.
"I understand Boss" he said and walked out.
Ezekiel's face scowled up in annoyance. This bastard Elijah was really creating work for him. Taking his brother wasn't enough for him. Now he's also pestering those around him. It was time he really taught him a good lesson!
Meanwhile, Doctor Maya was petrified to the core when she was suddenly bundled to a black van the moment she arrived at the hospital. She didn't make a sound and quietly followed the men who were all covered in nothing but black clothes. They looked both secretive and scary. She was still unaware of the reason she was being kidnapped and could only whimper in her heart. She was too scared to make a sound.
One of the men revealed his face, shocking Doctor Maya the more. 'This was... Jackson! But why?' she asked no one but herself. Suddenly, her mind did a rewind and she finally understood what was going on. This was the reason Monalissa brought a second sample. But still... 'The samples!' she screamed in her head. Her heart turned cold at the man who was smirking at her. "What do you think you're doing Doctor Jackson?! How dare you?" she berated him under her breath.
"No need for that Doctor Maya. You just need to cooperate and nothing would happen to you" he said.
"I won't cooperate! There's no way I would do that. Why would you kidnap me? Aren't we colleagues?" Doctor Maya really hated this man.
"We were never. I'm just doing my work" he said emotionlessly and signalled one of the men to knock her out. And immediately, Doctor Maya saw black.
The next time she woke up, she was in a dark room, unable to see anything. She tried to move but her hands were tied. She was really scared. Nothing can happen to her. She was a doctor! Her hands.... She couldn't even look at them at the moment due to the fact that they were tied. 'Does Ezekiel know about this? Isbhe doing anything about it?!'
Just while she was still thinking, the clicking sound of the door lock, opening entered her ears. She shot her head up immediately. A man walked in, as hefty as what she couldn't even describe at the moment. Her breath got up in her throat and she couldn't even make any sound.
The man untied her and began dragging her out like a lifeless doll. Doctor Maya bit down on her cries in anger. Soon, she was brought in front of man, who looked like the boss of the place. He was a handsome lad however this wasn't the time to admire beauty. She really wanted to leave this place.
"Let me go" she said. Her voice was a bit shaky.
"Of course. That's what I would do. I don't have any use for you anymore since Jackson already brought the samples over" he said with a taunting smile. He waved his hands and Jackson placed the four centrifuge bottles in his hands.
"Ezekiel is really a smart one. He even dared to trick me" he smirked looking at the bottle. He signalled one of the men to take Doctor Maya away. He already got what he wanted. Elena and Alvin were on their way home.
The man came forward to take Doctor Maya. But then, Ezekiel stopped him. "Hold on" he ordered. The man stopped instantly.
"Give her some strokes till I say stop" he instructed.
Doctor Maya cringed. She was terrified to the core. The men began to drag her away however, a loud earth shattering sound was heard. The whole place trembled. Even Elijah nearly fell from his fortress.
"Reconnect the teleconference" he ordered. One of the men came forward to do as he had said. Ezekiel looked at him. His face was cold and unfriendly. He hated this man! When Doctor Maya saw him, she let out the cry she had been holding for some time now.
"Mister Don!"
"Calm down Doctor Maya. You will be fine" Ezekiel said to her.
"That's my word to say" Elijah countered.
"Then, I might as well raze down the whole organization. That way, you will understand. I warned you Neon. You're all surrounded but you still insisted on pushing my buttons. If you're not stupid, I don't know what else I can say about you" Ezekiel degraded.
Elijah smirked. "Okay. You will have the doctor" he said with disdain in his eyes. He waved his hands and they immediately took Doctor Maya away.
"Don't touch my people. I have not even taken my revenge for the one you took from me, and yet you still want to complain. You are eating too much!" Ezekiel reviled.
Elijah clenched his fists in anger. He immediately turned off the laptop, bring the meeting to a close. Fury swirled in his eyes, a bubbling cauldron of hate. He immediately turned to Jackson who was beside him. "Where's Monalissa?" He asked.
"At the Alpha gardens" Jackson replied.
"Good. Lure her out using Noel. I have a fun in mind" he said with a sinister smile playing on his lips.
"Yes boss" he replied and sef off to do as he was told.
Monalissa and Hanabi were chatting away happily by the poolside when one of the maidens came to report that she had a visitor.
Monalissa who wasn't expecting anyone frowned. "Who is that?" she asked.
"A little boy. He said his name is Neon" she replied.
Monalissa's eyes lit up immediately. "Okay. Bring him into the living room" she said.
Hanabi looked at her. "So, you were also expecting someone else?"
"No. I'm surprised myself. But still, I'm happy. I love that little boy so much" she said.
The two girls stood from their seat, and began walking towards the living room. On their way, Hanabi continued to ask. "How did you know him?"
"I actually saved him from a car accident some months ago. Since then, I have loved him. Except that his uncle is my enemy" she ended with a pout.
"The evil man? The one that has a hand in Luke's working at the factory?" She asked, her brows raised.
Monalissa nodded. "That's right".
"Then..." Hanabi paused, halting in her tracks. An idea suddenly flew into her head. "Don't you think this could be a trap?" she asked, looking at Monalissa.
Monalissa laughed, really amused at what her bestie had just said. "You think a lot. I thought I was the greatest at thinking but you're really funny right now. He's just a little boy" Monalissa reminded.
"That's even more reason why I should think like that!" Hanabi half yelled. "That's because, the enemy knew he couldn't get in, so he sent someone who could" Hanabi pointed out.
"Hanabi, Elijah is evil, but, for one thing, he would never involve Noel. That's just how much he loves him" Monalissa defended. "But, if it's true, I have you to protect me" Monalissa smiled and held her hand, pulling her towards the living.
