Chapter 59 - Fifty-eight. Does that include you?

Fifty-eight. Does that include you?

The master and slave slept for another hour before finally getting up, Ezekiel being the first. When he woke up, he left the room allowing his underling some sleep. Kim was in front of the room waiting for his Boss.

"Boss", he said in greeting while bowing down.

"I want to visit the underground rooms", he said and began walking away leaving Kim to walk after him.

When they arrived at the room, Kayla was sleeping. At intervals, she kicked aimlessly against the mosquitoes that were fighting their way towards her. This was Ezekiel's idea as well. He had his men let in the mosquitoes. It didn't matter if she got sick. Probably, if he didn't act like this, people might think he was someone that could be trampled on.

"Boss, at this rate, Miss Kayla will fall sick", Kim interceded.

"That's the plan. I want her to fall sick. And besides, she hasn't seen the person she tried to kill", Ezekiel said his voice devoid of emotions.

Kim was surprised. He couldn't believe all that was happening. Everything was cool between Miss Kayla and his Boss, until Miss Walls came. He had thought his Boss hated Miss Walls but he had thought wrong. He might have hated her at the start but...at this point, Miss Kayla's plot seemed to have brought them close. This just made him realize the person he should prioritize.

"Send for Walker. If she's awake, have her come down here", he ordered. Kim turned to one of the guards and gave them the orders.

Monalissa was already awake. At the sight of the empty bed, she gave a little pout. She thought she would wake up to her master's handsome face again. However, after she had thought about it, she calmed herself down. They weren't a pair. She wasn't even in the position to be sad about anything. She was his enemy and he was her enemy as well. She shouldn't fall for him. She needed to keep her feelings in check.

A knock was heard from the other side of the door, startling her. She went close to the door.

"Who's it?"

"The Boss wants you at the underground room", the guard said.

Monalissa gave a start. Why the underground? Did she go against any rule or something? She gasped and slapped her mouth shut. She slept on the same bed as him! Why did she think it was ok? Now she was going to suffer for her...her what?

"Miss Walls", the guard called, his voice urging her.

Monalissa snapped out of her reverie and quickly opened the door. "Good evening".

"Yes. The Boss wants you at the underground room".

"Sure. I'll come with you", she said.

It was quite a walk, from the well lighted places to the dim and then dark places. An ordinary person would be scared to death but Monalissa wasn't one to be scared. She was Walker, the heartless assassin. Showing no mercy even to the prettiest being.

They soon arrived to where Ezekiel was, in front of Kayla's cell. Monalissa clenched her fists as this place brought her memories. She remembered this room as the one that she had been tortured and oh...she didn't even want to think further.

"Master", she called as soon as she reached where Ezekiel stood.

"Walker, come here", he said.

Monalissa walked closer to him her gaze never leaving his. Ezekiel clenched his fists at the sight of those hazel orbs that have been taunting him.

"Here's the culprit", he said and moved out of the way for her to see the sleeping Kayla.

At the mention of this, Monalissa's eyes turned cold, in an instant, she transformed into the Walker he knew. She took light but unhurried steps towards the cell her eyes holding Kayla's sleeping body. Luckily, her eyes didn't shoot lasers if not, Kayla would have been tortured to death.

"On the other side is the one who carried the assignment out".

Monalissa turned to her right and saw Sarah's cell too. At the sight of her, a smile crept onto her face. However, it wasn't friendly. It wasn't a happy one. In one word, Kim described it as creepy. That was the creepiest he had seen. He secretly shuddered. The sight of that smile reminded him of her identity. Walker, the assassin.

"What should be done to them?", Ezekiel asked.

Monalissa turned around. "Nothing. Let them go", she said after a little thought.

Ezekiel arched a brow. "They tried to kill you. You sure about this?"

"Yes", she said with a smile. This time, this one wasn't the creepy smile from earlier. "Let them be. Everyone commits sins sometimes in their life".

"Does that include you?"

Monalissa looked at him. "No. I didn't commit any sin. The only sin I committed was allowing myself to be used by someone that lowly", she said her voice firm.

Ezekiel arched a brow. "Walker...say something that I understand".

"I found the code", she said.

Ezekiel clenched his fists. "What's it?", he asked.

"N'p", she replied. "N apostrophe p".

"How am I supposed to believe that?"

"Because I saw it. I didn't quite remember but, these three days you were away, I did a lot of research".

"Walker, to my study", Ezekiel ordered.

"Yes Master".
