Today seems to be quite a gloomy day, hi am jin-hun Yun son of jin-min Yun and Ha-rin Yun , my life is simple, but I can't qunch my taste for more, I want an interesting life, well people will be happy to have my kind of life so I should just be satisfied with what I have, my elder brother jin-woo became a doctor I guess I might do same .... No no no it's too boring for me, wait am almost eighteen I can get drafted into the military that should be interesting, all I have to do is speak to my dad since he has experience in that type of stuff
Later that night
At the dinner table
Dad I have decided that when I turn eighteen next month I want to get drafted into the military
Silence filled the room then my dad replied saying son it's compulsory in this country but you don't have to rush it give it time, dad even after I finish my time I would still stay in military and I want to start early ( I could see the shock on my mom and dad's faces) son you sure about this, as I replied with a loud yes father, honey do you have an opinion on what your son have said he says he wants to be a soldier, my mom replied he as always been a good boy so we should just honor this request of his, alright then son you will become a soldier my father said aloud .
I finished my food went to my room with joy, while laying on the bed my mind wondered about the exciting life am about to live soon and after that I slept off.
LATER ON
My dad worked out everything and told my brother what I said when he came to visit, things went smoothly maybe because my dad works as a government official well after my birthday came, we held a little party, the party was also my send off party cause I was leaving in two days time, a lot of friends seem to have been invited but I wasn't interested in all that after the party I met with my close friend minho we spoke for a while and we said are goodbyes I went to room played games on my PC cause I knew wouldn't be able to do that there , well I just did casual things till the day came for me to go .
Honey come and greet your son farewell my dad said while I was in the car I'm coming I'm coming my mom replied as soon as mom give an heart felt farewell, we entered back in car and started our journey later on my dad began to give me a piece of advice about how to survive in the military my father may seem like a harsh person but his really a kind hearted man deep down who loves his family.
On arrival at the barracks I could see a set of new recruits as my dad goes into the office and fill in some documents I was taken to join the assembly with other new recruits, the drill Sergeant gave a heartfelt speech about how we should serve our country with our pride and about how we should serve our country with all our hearts as it's our motherland, my dad came back after filling in the documents and gave his goodbyes then I was given a tour around the barrack after that I was taken to my camp, they turned out to be quite a lot of people, I was given my uniform and my bed number which was one hundred and seventy two due to the fact of how tired the day was I went straight to my bed to arrange it since it was a bunk bed I was supposed to choose if I was going to sleep up or down which was a easy decision for me I will normally choose up but it seems like my bed partner already chose up and wants me to sleep down due to my ego I can't let that slide, why would I sleep down , you go down I said angrily oh you're a feisty guy I see I was here first so I'll stay here, you stay down he replied feisty you dare refer me as feisty according to my number I'm the one who is supposed to stay up I don't have strength to argue with you just sleep down or do you want to get a beating the idiot replied like he was gonna fight me Hey it's okay you don't have to fight over a bed a new guy came into our argument why don't you guys sort this over with a game or something just saying because if you guys fight on your very first day you guys will be getting real hard punishment he added (in thought: thats true having a fight on your very first day is bad and I could get a serious punishment) fine I agree let's say to this over again of rock paper scissors what do you say punk face I said okay then let's start he replied with passionate in his eyes, ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS and it Seems are like I lost to punk face , hey what's your name I asked the guy stopped our argument, me? Oh am Dae-seong Wang he replied with a smile on his face
Wait your grandfather is dae-Jung Wang right? I asked, yes it seems you know of me no I don't know you I know your grandfather I replied , punk face laughed then introduce himself as Ho - Gu, well am ji-hun Yun I said, well it looks like a lot of time have passed we should get to bed I think they'll be waking us really early Dae-seong said, yeah you're right we should probably get to bed anyways nice to meet you both. I arranged my bed and layed down (in thought: I just the beginning of my life am just getting started)
