Flashback..
A shiver ran down my back as I came to the realization of how out of hand this had become. Jess and I had simply wanted to share our game with others, but now it seemed to have a life of its own. How did we let things escalate to this level? Back in college, Jess and I thought we were pretty mature for our age. We were passionate about games, and we wanted to create one that would blur the lines between virtual and real life.
We dreamt of a world beyond the pixels, a virtual paradise where anyone and everyone could be their true selves. This game was our escape, our sanctuary, and ultimately, it was supposed to be our legacy.
But we were young and naive, unaware of the potential dangers that lay ahead. We were so engrossed in the possibilities that we overlooked the risks. The line between reality and virtual reality began to blur for us and eventually, it vanished completely.
